posts "jobs" all over USA. Think scam

Probably found my phone number on craigslist. "Contracter" looking for handymen to work on foreclosed properies "in my area." Most definitely a scam.

Called me from phone number (757) 201-9367.

left message that said they are looking for handymen/contractors to work on foreclosed homes. my number was on craigslist too. i called back but kept getting put on hold. The recording said it was contractor support company.

My fiance just got a call from this so called "contractor business" and they wanted him to pay the $99 for a background check and immediately I was alerted. I googled the phone number and found all these comments about them being a fake. Everyone stay clear and thanks for all the comments alerting all of us gullible people!! People are trying to scam everyone and in this day and age and in this horrible economy we should all be helping each other out!! Good day and god bless!!!

Big time scam. They are now trying to get you to give them your CC card number. There are two numbers that go with this outfit. The 888-580-6021 and 757-201-9367

I don't advertise and they got my number. I say we all just call them to mess with them. After all, they took my time...I'll spend as much of theirs as I can.

Got all excited, since work has been slow lately...  "Jon" called fm 757-201-9367 and called his company "Contractor Services", left a message on my vm w/ a callback number of 888-580-6021.   I called back several times thru the afternoon until I reached "Kendra" who said "Jon" was her assistant.  VERY vague conversation about handyman services need on bank owned foreclosed homes in my area, but they are nationwide co.   Also, said all supplies needed for work would already be onsite (ok, how do they know what is needed when fixing or repairing anything?)  Then, when I got home, my partner said to look up the number online and we found your post!   Thank you so much for alerting others!!!   I also have several postings on Craigslist, so that's how they must have found me too...

There are several numbers AND SEVERAL DIFFERENT COMPANY NAMES that are being used to call people: 888-580-6021, 866-796-1431, 757-201-9367. The company IS A SCAM !!! I think they got our phone number off of CraigsList. Got the call too, I wasn't aware of the scam thing and certainly this people got my cell from CL. Message left by John (it was a male) to call him back to 888-580-6021.

They got my name from craigslist, called me from 888-580-6021. I sounded too good to be true,so a little research is all I needed to figure out its a scam. His name is John

I too received a call from 757-201-9367 which is Virginia based number directing me to call back at 888-580-6021. Vague voice mail stating handy man services for the foreclosed homes in the area fro man 888 number... scam or some other nonsense. I pity anyone who partakes in this....

I got the same call and my family are in real need for income without some [***] calling.  If you call this number 888-580-6201 500,000 times his 800 bill would be over 100 thousand dollars.

John called me from both numbers 888-580-6021 & 757-201-9367 and left voice mail with the same message about needing contractors but to call Carol Briggs @ 800-580-6021.  I had a listing on craigslist 6 months ago for only 1 week.  Also I still get spam at my e-mail from Heather Madison with the same crap that they need contractors.  THESE PEOPLE ARE NOTHING BUT SCUM SUCKERS AND NEED TO BE CAUGHT.  Once they get your crediit card number you're in for a lifetime of trouble.  Stay AWAY!

I work for a company who does home preservation and does foreclosures. We received a voice mail today from "JON" who said to call 888-580-6021 and ask for a Carol Bridge they were looking for Vendors.  My boss had me call the number which is no longer in service by the way.  Then I googled the number and saw all of the comments.   Total Scam but I learned a lesson always look up information on the number and company before i waste my time trying to get in touch with them.

they now use the 732-851-8073 phone number too.  and of course the same Jon from managment service and i also have ad on craiglist...

On November 18, 2010, I recieved the emphamis message from John to call Carol Briggs with Contractor  after I posted on Craigslist Services. I called the number this morning and it says it is no longer in service. I followed up with an internet search which immediately brought me to this page.
