Just got a call from them. Missed the call and left no message.

Picked up as United Healthcare our health insurance provider. Recorded voice prompting. Started asking for personal information. Hung up. Called United Healthcare to find out if legitimate number but office closed. Have to call back on Monday.

Call was on cell phone so no caller ID... let it go to voicemail, they said United Healthcare and left a "unique ID number" for me to enter when I called back.  Message said they had important healthcare info for me.  Won't be calling back even though they are my provider as this call was placed to me on a Saturday.  If it was for real they would have called me during the week... sounds Phishey to me.

I got a call and I'm positive it's a scam! Be careful!

Got a call to my cellphone, but they disconnected when I tried to pick up. Call came in at 2:09 pm on a week day. I'm an ex-United Health Care insured (if that's who's calling), so they have no business with me.

This is a scam ! I got a call on sunday, stating it was from United Health Care

They left a voice mail on my home phone saying it was United Healthcare with an important message, left call back number with unique code.  After reading above comments will not call back.

1-888-599-3948 called me this past Saturday saying it was United Healthcare. Wanted me to call back and enter the unique 7-digit code they'd left for me.

I did not of course. I called United Healthcare via my Customer Service contact and they said in no way are they leaving these types of messages.

Do not release your personal inforamtion, just call your Health Care number for verification and check did they try to contact you.

I had contact my Health Care 1-800 number and given them this 1-888-599-3948 they try called the number and claim it not belong to UnitHealthCare.

I recieved a call from this number. They left a message for my Mom. She said she has never given out my work number. This is very suspicioius.

The number 888-599-3948 is United / Neighborhood Health Care. It is their new info line to do a survey on if you have additional insurance and have not told them. If you get a message they give you a number to call back with and then it's all computer prompt.

I tried that number and it was "Southern Vacation Rental" Not United Health Care as previously stated in the Voicemail I received. Is there anyway that we can report this?

I have United Healthcare insurance and received the same recorded message asking me to call and enter the 7 digit code they provided in the message.  I called our HR department, who in turn called UHC.  UHC confirmed that this call was NOT from them.

Thank you for info...I received 2 recorded messages asking me to call & enter 7 digit #.
Sounded suspicious and found this website.

Your part of the scam!

I received 2 of these calls with the 7 digit #.  Identified themselves as United Healthcare, which is our provider.  Normally I check this stuff out, but this time I returned the call.  When I entered the number a recording said that the message had expired.  I just got the 2nd call last night.  Sure hope it does't come back to haunt me.

This is about United Healthcare Medicare - probably sales call

Got the call and United left a message.. I was on vacation and didn't notice it for several days.. I do have United Health Care, so I called them, put in the 7 digit number and it said "message had expired"..  I did not recieve any other calls, but it must not have been important and I have a feeling it was a sales call.. I did recieve a letter from UHC asking me if I had additional insurance, which I mailed back to them NO.. It did not ask me for any personal information, just to check a box "NO" if I didn't and "yes" if I did and the name, address of the other insurance, with a return envelope, postage paid..  So I checked "NO", signed and returned.  No further phone calls..  Doesn't mean the phone call wasn't a scam or telemarket.. But if it was UHC they got a hold of me thru mail and that's what I would prefer..

NOT A SCAM!!  Just hung up with United Healthcare, it is an automated call to assist you with conditions you may to see if you want additional assistance from them.  You can opt out from the automatic calls, and I just did.
