I got a call from someone claiming to be Danny Thomas from County Legal Services. Left a VM on my work phone and cell phone. Stated that he just tried to deliver a summons unsucessfully to(gives my name) to the address on file(but lists no address). That I can call the plantiff(gives no name) at 888-609-4191 to resolve the issue out of court, and failure to comply will result with an issuance of a bench warrant. First of all my mother is at my house right now so if anyone did actually go there then she would of known. I pulled up the court site and nothing showing for my name as far as a summons issued. I have also recently pulled a credit report and nothing showing in any type of collections. The number he lists above for the plantiff 888-609-4191 is the same number showing on my cell as a missed call, so what he is calling from the plantiff's phone??.. I was a victim of a scam 2 yrs ago and have been getting these types of calls by the dozens. Needless to say I will pay nothing to no one without validation/verification and will not verify anything over the phone.

I just got a call from the same person saying he was danny thomas with the county legal services and that someone had tried to issue a summons to this addresss and was not able to. (we are home) . I don't understand how they get your numbers. The phone call is disturbing to say the least. where are some of you located. i am in oklahoma. just curious since it says county legal services.

just curious where you live. like i said in my comments. i am in oklahoma. curious if this "county legal services" is even in same state.

Out of curiousity, do you have an outstanding debt? I have to
admit I do, but you would not beleive the extent and lies what
must be the same company listed here.

My brother was called in Penna saying could he give out my
number as the callerwas "an old friend". My other brother was called
and said I owed "5,000" (to be honest I owe only a few hundred).

I was called and told, among other things, to get all my tax records
together, and that they might show up at my work, my roommate was
contacted, etc, etc.

I just received a call (09/16/13 at 9:20am) as well from Danny Thomas from County Legal Services.  The funny thing is I am in Florida.  Its funny how he claims how he has attempted to serve me with a summons this morning unsucessfully but yet, he was in OK less than 24 hours serving someone else (comments above).  If this was an actual attempt to summons someone, it would be a local number not a 888 number.  Debt Collectors/Scammers think they are smart but thanks to websites like this, it helps prevent other people from getting sucked in or scaring the crap out of people thinking they really are getting served and they really are not. I blocked this number from calling me again and reported it to the FCC.  I suggest you do the same :-)

I just got the same message 09/17/2013, did not give a name for who he was calling or who he was. Just that he unsuccesfully tried to serve a summons. I'm in AZ. What the hell is going on.

I have received a call from this bs twice, from two different numbers, same results no name just that a summons was being issued at the address and the newest call, if you like to settle out of court call this number my voicemail cut the first half off, I live in illinois, then of course failure to comply will result in the issuing of a warrant for your arrest. Again no name was given for party involved to be issued summons or warrant, this is getting aggrovating.

My sister just called me with this same info about I wrote a bad check and that they tried to issue a Warrant for my arrest. First of all I have not wrote or had a check book in over 15 years, second I have been with the same Banking Institute for 30 years and work for this company. So if I have wrote a bad check you think the Bank would let me keep my JOB? I think not! Go try this $H!T with someone else. I am in Texas and if he was serving a Warrent in Illinois and then in Texas he has SKILLS! Try someone who will fall for your SCAM!

I have been receiving various calls from this firm and another for the past 2 years.  It's always the same - call us back before we bring this matter to court; you will be served today at 2:00, tomorrow at 3:00.  Then "we were unsuccessful in serving you and will now issue a bench warrant."  What I liked about this one is that they said, "Due to your employment status we'll give you a day to contact the firm."  

Someone using a keystroke mapper on my computer a few years ago was able to get all my information - and I am sure it's been sold many times over.  Trying to stay strong, that these jerks have nothing to go on but when they calling you at work, leaving messages that they'll arrest you, and also calling family and saying the same thing it's just over the top.  


I think I've done all I can in getting a supeana with the FTC, filing with the attorney general, putting a fraud report on my credit reports so no one can access.  It is so incredibly frustrating and there seems to be no end it sight.  

Anyone know of a way to get rid of this?  I'm ready to try an airhorn and to disconnect my home phone, that's how bad it's gotten.

This Danny person just called my husband and my brother-in-laws phone looking for me saying the exact same thing eveyone else has posted. Saying they just tried to serve me and that I will have a bench warrant issued of I don't comply but I can call the 888 number to settle out of court. Fraud, fraud, fraud! How do I get them to stop calling?

the same thing happened to us. all we can say is FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!! we reported it to the FTC, filed a police report and put blocks/alerts on all 3 credit reporting agencies.

I just a call from them today 9/19/13 told me I owed 300 and court was at 9:30 am tomorrow. wile talking to them I looked up the number and read these comments, they are scammers for sure... I told them that and they hung up so I called back and got the same person but he told me a different name I told him I could tell his voice and I wasn't stupid he then hung up again. I called right back got the same person different name and voice this time. this went on for about 50 calls till they got mad at me and started  cursing at me telling me he wanted to kick my [***] and calling my wife a [***]. I reported it to the FBI they seemed interested in it. don't deal with

They left a message on my phone but the only thing I could make out was that they were going to serve a bench warrant on me. I live in Maryland!

I'm in Kansas City Mo, and just got the same call as all the above.  from 888-609-4191 and some guy calling himself Danny Thomas county legal services, threating a bench warrent.

Just got a voice mail from this Danny Thomas person. LM saying they were issuing a warrant. I called the police department and reported this number. They are going to investigate and they have had several complaints. These people need to be stopped. I also reported this to the attorney general's office as I know him well. This is truly a scam and meant to scare people. My son  died a few years back and he had some debts so they have my name. This really make me angry. !!

my fiance keeos getting the same phone call, except its them trying to get a hold of me, umm if i owed money you should have my information not my fiances information...can you say SCAMMERS!!!!!

I just got the same call on my cell vm. Danny Thomas with county legal services, failing to summons/bench warrant etch. I live in CA. Thanks for the comments to give me a better understanding of this scam.
