Got a charge on Mastercard from 888-621-6045.  Anybody know who this is?

I also got a $429 charge on my Visa on Jan. 14.  Be aware

i got the same charge on my visa-chase card 1/18/2008.  $429 from "ID SAFE" called chase, they gave me the 888 number, and it does not work.   no idea what ID SAFE is.

IT IS FRAUD BEWARE!

I got it too, on Jan 24, $429.  Capitalone says they know about it, they've gotten MANY complaints this week!  Definitely Fraud.

call, get the charge cancelled.

I got the same ID Safe 888-621-6045 charge on my capital one card for $429.  I'm calling Capital One right now.  BEWARE!!!!

Had a $429 charge from ID Safe  888-6216045 NV on 1-18-08 on my Bank of America Visa.  Just found it on my statement and called B of A to file fraud report on 1-28-08.

I got same charge.  Being a security type person, I'm looking for a possible common threrad to those who have been zapped.  Any of you using Pay Pal within the past month or so?

I just got a statement with that same fraudulent charge. ID Safe $429 on 1-21. Yes, I have used paypal but not tied to this credit card.

I just got a charge on my CC also from same place. I only use this card for online purchases, so I suspect some type of 'leak'. 429.00 also was exact amount on Jan. 8. Called and got no answer. Already reported to my CC company - Suntrust.
FRAUD.

Just reviewed my capital one statement.  had the same ID Safe $429 charge.  contacted CC company.  Tried calling the 888-621-6045 number . . . no one there.  I am not aware of receiving a call from this number.

Got the exact same charge 2/11. Number is now disconnected. Bank says they're from Nevada.

Got charged $429 on 1/23 to my Chase credit card for a vendor listed as "ID SAFE" with this phone number.  Called the number - it wasn't in service.  Called Chase and they promptly credited my account.  That seemed too easy, making me think I wasn't the first to call.

PS:  I made two Paypal transactions about 6 days prior.

I got the charge too. Never heard of the company. Capitolone will reverse the charge, but it takes a billing cycle. I use this card alot for paypal.

Got the same charge on my Visa bill yesterday. I've contacted the appropriate parties and have been on the phone all day. Now I also get to fill out the lovely "Customer Statement of Disputed Item". NP, will do. In the meantime, I've also contacted my local News Team for ABC. I hope they air a story on this matter. What about those poor soles out there that don't have the internet to tract fraudulent charges.

I got exactly the same problem- got a charge from my Visa TCF Bank for $429.00 ID SAFE. Reported to the bank right away for immediate action.

I just found the same charge on my credit card billing (VISA).  Called the card company, they took the charge off, said it was the second ID Safe $$29.00 that evening, and that these can be recurring charges - so watch your bills.  I do not use PayPal with this card.
