Guy by the name of Mike Judge calls with shitty accent and acts all tough.  Says he is calling about a civil matter and has a case ID#.  Sounds like a collection type agency but scamming people.  Says he needs to talk to someone and has me down as a reference.  I asked if he was a lawyer and he states they have one on staff??  Name of company is jumbled every time he says it, something like Aurora-Gold.  Good luck all.

Sounds very much like the call I received on my cell. He also named his firm but spoke too fast.  His number also came up as 716-635-6585.  He also mentioned about a personal matter and asked to speak to me or my attorney. I don't like the fact that the calls are coming to my cell phone.

Guy claiming to be Seth Davis, with garbled company name (sounded like Royal Globe Associates or something) called and left a message on my home answering machine.  He said I had been named in a lawsuit, gave a case number, and said I'd better call.  Caller ID showed (716) 635-6589.

An adult, 30'ish sounding, man left a voice message on our 'unlisted' telephone.  The message indicated: this was Troy English, and he had spoken to me(knew my first name) previously (he had not).  He further stated he was seeking my husband (called him by name) for a lawsuit filed against my husband.  He needed my husband to call back today and only today.  Stated he was from Arroyo & Golden, wanted to help.  When we were to call back we were to refer to a case # blah, blah, blah.  He then rambled something about it isn't too late to act to prevent the lawsuit.
Phone showed New York Call 716.635.6585 received at PST 12:21PM

some guy called my grandparents, who live in another state, and left a message on their answering machine stating, he was with some aurora gold and associates, gave a case number and that he was representing a credit card company, regarding an outstanding debt, and that they would have a warrant for my arrest out of the county in which i live. Isn't that completely illegal to disclose that information?

First of all it's illegal to threaten you with arrest.  There is no debtor's prison in the United States.  NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR BANKING INFO as they can clean out your account and you have no recourse.  I had the same problem with them and am in the process of suing them when I found out that I HAD paid the debt off with the original company.  Since then I've gotten a cell phone and do not answer my land line as I'm harvesting voice mails.  I also changed my bank to keep them from getting anything out of it as I made the mistake and they did debit my account until I found out they were a scam.  Get a GOOD ATTORNEY and take them to court.  Go to www.NACA.com for one.   It won't cost you anything.  Bud Hibbs has an excellent website for you to get more information:  www.budhibbs.com. Good luck but I don't think you'll need it.  AG&A has enough lawsuits against them and enough evidence to prove they're violating your rights.  Sounds like they've gotten rid of all the ones working there and have a new batch of miscreants on board.

I had a message on my answering machine asking to call back at this number.  Pretty much the same story as everyone else - he garbled his name and who he was calling for.  Sounded like he said his name was Aaron Gabano from Arroyo Golden & Associates.  Calling about Case # 147275 from Semi... (garble garble) County.  He was calling to offer a final option outside the courthouse.

So what's the scam here?
