- Don| 2 repliesAutomated call from Metlife saying they have an important message. When you call the number they want a loan number or your Social Security number. There is no way to contact a person to find out what the call is about.
- Caller: Metlife
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Don replies to DonFurther on this.
The company is Metlife Home Loans or First Horizen Loans. Their number to access an operator is 800-707-0139.
I did finally got to talk to live persons. Tasha Chambers in Customer service and Unice Hollins in Customer Relations (collections).
Hopefully this will help others who receive these calls in error. - djaI get a call from this number everyday that says I have an important message about my account from MetLife and to call them back. When you call back you have to input an account number or a SS#, but I don't have an account with them. I'm getting very annoyed because there is no way to talk to a person to let them know I don't have an account with them!

- dnbGet continued calls from this company although I am on the national do not call list. I have and never had a loan with this company so inputting my SS number (in desperation) just got me back to the recording.
It is impossibly annoying since you cannot get to a live person. I finally took the advise above and entered collections and then a phony extension number which got me to an operator.- Caller: Met LIfe
- wren337They have been robocalling every day, can't seem to get them to stop. I've never done business with this company.

- lundyThey robo call me every night around 8:40pm and there is no way to reach a person to tell them to stop calling. I do not have a loan and am on the do not call registry. I did not sign up for anything to get calls from them. I tried calling the suggested number above 800-707-0139 but was on hold forever with no answer. No message that they were closed, just that I was on hold and they would be right with me. Ha!~
- Caller: MetLife Home Loan

- ToddMachine Called, reported the need to speak about a loan with Met Life from the Loss Recovery group. I do not have a loan with Met Life. Attempted a call back, but could not get through to an operator before being disconnected.
Number that called: 1.888.638.6964 ext 33805- Caller: Met Life Home Loans

- JohnThey're not behaving as you would expect a reputable company to behave.
Robo calls out of their office hours, so you have no ability to call them back.
Then the number they provide will not connect you to a person without providing your loan number... worse still, they ask you to enter your social security number... no reputable company should be calling people with whom they have no relationship and then asking for their social security number... and nobody in their right mind should be providing their SSN to anyone they don't have an account with.
But as Don says above, if you call this number (not provided by the robo call), 800-707-0139, select option 0 for an operator, sit on hold, talk to someone that has no answer about why they called you... THEN they'll take you off the list.
What a way to run a railway!- Caller: MetLife

- H EIn August I bought a new mobile phone with a number assigned by AT&T. Almost immediately, I began receiving collection calls from MetLife Home Loans' automated system. When I tried to call the number back, the system would not connect me to anyone because I did not have a valid home loan. The same with the "customer service" email address provided by the web site. In September, I wrote a letter to the office address provided by the web site in Irving, TX. (See attached.) The calls continue at all times of day and night.

- MikeI too have received number of annoying calls asking me to call MetLife at this number. I do not have a loan with MetLife. When calling this number, it asks for my loan number (which I don't have) or for social security number (which I do not give out!) I looked into this number (called First Horizon Bank, which deals with MetLife over its loan). Conclusions: (1) it is a genuine MetLife number, BUT (2) Their system seems to have an error -- Best is to ignore them (unless you really do have a loan with MetLife.)

- thootzA person stopped by our house, took a picture, and left a sign on the door to call 888-638-6964. We have no interest in discussing anything with this service.
- jasonMake sure that your home loan has not been sold to them. I thought at first this was a scam until i checked my home loan and found out they now hold it and my automatic payments were not being made. I agree that the way they contact you sounds shady, its worth checking out, especially if they leave a letter on your door.

- BethI'm getting calls from this co. and I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT HERE! Can anyone help me get my name removed? It does not allow you to talk to a live person. I'm not about to enter my SSN to an unknown voice unit. I don't have time during business hours for this.
