There in no law that says I have to answer every cell phone call every time it rings. If I do not know the number I do not answer the phone. Nine times out of ten or if I just feel like it oops I "ignore" "reject" the caller. I also "silent" my ringer when I go to bed until I want to hear it at a reasonable hour when I get up.

Several calls starting at 8:00 AM CST with no message from (888) 638-9718. Finally they left voice mail regarding Citi Card/Home Depot account. They also call from (423) 467-6980; (423) 477-6983; (877) 437-1987.

I'm getting tired of phone calls from this number. No one is on the other end when I answer. Putting them on the Do Not Call list does not help, they still come.

Same as above - 7 times in 3 days.  We owe no one.  When you call them back you get a recording saying there is no one available to take the call,  I would love to shove my fist in the middle of their snotlocker.

Received calls from 888-638-9718 for the past several days.  They have not left a message.  I called the number back and the man asked me for my name and phone number.  I gave him my name and phone number as an alternative to giving any account information since he was not being specific about my account, i.e. what store or financial institution.  He was avoiding being specific, unless I could give him my account no(s) then he stated he could go into detail about my account status. He implied that he was looking up my account info.  He commented that he could see 2 of my accounts (credit card) and 1 of them is closed.  He proceeded to ask for my personal ID info such as DOB so he could verify who I am and then go through my account details with me.  He did not get the opportunity to ask me further questions because I refused to answer them over the phone so his comment was that we've "come to in passe."

Keep getting calls from this number for the last three days. No message left and they call at least three times a day. Owe noone money. Both my cell phones have been on the do not call list for at least two years. Guess I need to do it again but from previous posts it doesnt sound it would matter. Just going to ignore them and hope they go away. Sounds like a scam to me.....

that phone number is from a bill collectors they automated system and if you are in the line long enough they nail you, if you don't own anything it might be the previous owner of your number

I get calls from this number 4 or 5 times a day on my cell phone.  Some very early morning hours, some late at night.  I never rings long enough to get to the phone to answer it, and the one time I did, it disconected.  If this is actually Citi Card, I have automatic with drawl with them, so they are not calling about late payments.  Previous posts makes me wonder....

This number is not a bill collector, or anything legitimate. Ignore them or call the police to report violations of No Call.

They are fishing for account information from you and intend to steal your identity if you're stupid enough to tell them anything.

They got your number by randomly trying out digits in your area code until someone answered.

    Don't fall for it.

Gotten several calls repeatedly everyday. They say they're from Citi Credit Card with my GoodYear card which has a late payment and I need to pay the fee. Just to mess with them I ask them if they know my information and when they can't answer I tell them to find a better job and to stop robbing people. Their reaction is priceless! They usually don't call back.

    TiredOfCalls
I spent 15 minutes on the phone with Citycards and got a list of calls THEY made in the past two months to me. They totalled two (2) and they were in reference to a charge for getting glass replaced on my car. When I asked them about calls from 888-638-9718 and 859-283-8074 they ASSURED me that it ws not from Citycards or Citybank. They instructed me to NOT give them any information concerning my Citycard and to ignore the calls would be the best way to handle the calls.

I work for a fairly decent sized business. I got a call from them just now and they asked for a person named Cody. Well we have a few fella's by that name here so I asked "Which one?" I was then hung up on. If you're going to call a business and make the receptionist miss a few calls for your crap at least have the decency to tell me WHICH person you're calling for.

They called me then hung up.
    I called them back
They asked for my account number
    I said what account number
They said they could look it up by social security number
    *click* I hung up
This is a scam if ever I heard one.
