this has to be a scam, the man on the phone said he was an arbitrator for the attorney's and was all gheetto

It's a scam - government agencies are after CCR & Associates. Tom Rice says he's a liason and uses tactics to get you to call that number 888-650-7873.

got a call froma "processor" who said he had a summons for my husband, and to please call the above number.  They answere Check and credit reporting, and I spoke to a Jim Mayes who told me (after a few questions)  they were looking for someone because of a payday loan.  It was not us, they called the wrong person.

Erica Stokes from a Legal Liaison Service telling me to call 1-888-650-7873 she said she got my informatio from a fax!  Scam! Wtf!

Call from Sean Hill...liaison's office, he got a fax (actually ruffled papers around in the background and said he was searching for the number that was sent it to him) They are coming to my office to serve me some paperwork and he needed me to call and verify some information with him.

Gotta love sites like this that keep it real for unsuspecting consumers. Got a random vm from a Chad Bergar from the Liasons office. What Liason? Who knows! Lol. He left a message stating he received a fax from CCR and Assoc. and hit was in regards to a case being filed in my name. He wanted to verify my info, and left the 888-650-7873 number to call for further info.

Spoke with a woman named Candace Barnes who stated there had been a claims case and possible criminal charges being filed against me for some BS Payday loans that I supposedly had from years ago. She read off some case number and said that they would be serving me a legal summons to appear in court at my work place as well as my residence.

I proceeded to tell her that it smelled fishy and that i was uncomfortable discussing anything further with her. She kept having to put me on hold to answer basic questions and was flustered and kept saying Ummm as if to find the right answer or make something up. When I asked for my supposed county information she put me on hold and when she came back said that the lawyers were in a "meeting" and she could not obtain that info. Convenient huh?

Needless to say I was more than a little suspicious and found this... Thanks to those above for sharing your experiences as well. HELPFUL!!!!!

I received a message from Nicole Carter frrom Liason Associates in reference to a fax she received from CCR Associates regarding a claim being filed in my name and social security number and that documentation was also being mailed to my residence and place of employment. I knew this was bs right away because as most people do, I know for certain that I have no past due amounts that would warrant a claim being filed. Also it was onbvious that she was reading from a script because her pauses were in awkward places and she seemed to trip over her own words. But, I called and got an automated message asking me to dial 1 to speak to the next available rep. It played some lame hold music and then said the person at the extention was unavailable and i should leave a message. Then it said that the mailbox was full, then it said an error had occured and I could not leave a message. I found this site when I googled the number. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I got a voicemail from these people and I knew it was phony cause he used my married name and I dont use my married name for anything I always use my maiden name. He claim he got a fax and was filing a claim against me and Im like I pay everything on time very month so I'm no dummy Im not behind on anything. Its sad how people try and scam folks I hope they get caught and serve jail time.

Got the same call today, only here name was Sandra Barnes..lol!  Our convo went something very similiar to yours...They can BEAT IT!!

i am soooo mad! i feel so stupid for believing this! got the call from the 'court clerk' and called the 888 number. they couldnt find me so i gave them my ssn! was googling the # while on hold and found this! what can i do now that they have my ssn??? anybody know?

so I got a call from this same company unfortunately I was a victim my husband has been paying on a balance from advance america to another company I just thought he forgot to pay it.... in process of fixing my bank account now CRA let me know that there was a breach in there data base and now this is happening.... I never doing a bill over the phone again.  thank God I have a good bank

Same thing happened to me today. They had actually called my dads number and left a message! When I called they had my old address from 4 yrs ago and said I needed to pay today a balance of 3,000 then It was 1,000 then it was I needed to make 3 payments of 262.68 for three months and that they only took debit cards~! I was leary then and waited and they kept putting me on hold and saying they was talking with a lawyer. They also said this was from a payday place. When I called back I asked to speak to Erica and the guy goes hold on Bro... no company says that!! I was also told that they were gonna serve me papers in 24 to 48 hrs.. thats not possible either~! This place is definitely a scam, I am so glad I googled it while I was on hold.. they did get my ssn and address.. But I am so glad I followed my gut instinct and didnt pay the 262.68 over the phone!! This place needs to be shut down and these people need to go to jail!!!

The guy left the same message he left most of you saying that he was going serve my husband but needed an updated address. His name was Malcolm William. And that he was from the liason office.  I had never heard of an liason office before. He didn't know what was in the envelop he had contained because it was sealed but gave a claim number. He also made long pauses, which were long which raised eyebrows like he was reading from a paper. The number came across my phone as unknown. I'm glad I looked the number that he gave before I had my husband call.

So, my wife gets a call from an "Unknown" number on her cell phone during dinner. She obviously didn't answer it but they left a voicemail. Well, the guy on the voicemail tried so hard (sarcasm) to sound professional. He stated that I had a pending legal matter and that he just received a fax on his desk from CCR and Associates looking for me to rectify the matter. He instructed me to call 888-650-7873 ext 1 to verify and update my information to avoid legal ramfications. Well, the first thing I did was Google this # and here I found all I need to know.

How does this happen? How are these people accessing our information? I feel bad for those who have fallen for this garbage.

So I got a call from a gentleman named Charles Smith... LOL, BS from the beginning. THey called me three times in a row from an unknown number and then he told me that he was calling form the Irving, TX courthouse. He said he was the process servicer but couldnt give me any information. He said he got a fax with the last four digits of a social security number and they had two addresses on file. He wanted me to verify that info for him.. lol.. I asked him if he was an officer and for his badge number and he said that he was not on a recorded line but that if I wanted further information on the case to call the Department of Legal Services 888-650-7873. He even went as far as to give me a case number.. LOL, in his dreams.... BS, sounded like a scam from the beginning...

I checked my voicemail today 8/29/12 and there was a message from an unknown number and a guy by the name of Michael Williams.  He said he received a fax and there was a case filed under my name and the last four digits of my social.  He sounded as if he were reading a script from a paper and said he needed toverify information and  send a summons to my job or residence. He also said he was from a liasons office and to call back this number 1-888-650-7873.   I cannot believe these people are trying to scam us something told me to google this number and this is what I found.  Glad I did, needless to say I will not be returning his call.  So glad I found this website and I hope they lock these scammers away!!  Im just wondering how they even got our information in the first place??

I just got a call that came up "unknown" but gave me this number to call back. It was Charles Smith telling me that someone would be coming to my home or work in the next 24 to 48 hours to served me charges files against my name and SS#. He gave me a telephone number for legal services and a case number. If I call before they find me to served me, we can work something out.

I just received a call on my work phone from the same person Charles..stating he is coming to my house to serve me papers and gave me a case#. Thanks for the heads up guys...... These scam artist need to get a life!!!
