Called our church with the directive, "Call me back with your Dominion gas bill in hand."

These are scammers claiming to be PECO,  Called 7 times claiming that the call is in regard to a rebate I applied for.  By coincidence, I just purchased a new water heated and did submit for a rebate on line.  I was still suspicious and asked for a call back number 4 times and this was not provided.  Continued to receive calls - on the last call the caller finally admitted that they are calling from IGS power.  I stated that the call is being recorded and I am also filing a complaint with the FTC and caller hung up.

Tell these people to jump in a lake and drown themselves. Most if not all these scammers use 800, 877, 866, 888 numbers. In their Call ID's it states "TOLL FREE CALL" which is a scam operation. Do not answer the call for then they know that it is an active number and they will keep calling you.

To me, they claimed to be from American Power and Gas.

So tire of these clowns. I keep telling them, with Goggle I can find the best price. In fact, they can not even beat my price with Con edison.

Said name was Steve.  Had accent that made him sound more like Esteban than Steve.   Asked for last name only -- said was 'utility'.  I told him to email me if it was urgent -- he should have my info already if he was any 'utility' of mine

Telemarketer?-YES.     Spammer?-No.

I got a call from 888-651-3385, they (Claire)  left a message saying they are from AP&G(which sounded like AT&T); calling about my PECO bill. She asked that I call them back at 1-800-210-9011 and also left her extension. So, I called them back.

I reached the automated system, which sounded legitimate; thanking me for reaching the customer service center, telling me that all calls are monitored and recorded for quality assurance and offering me options to either input the extension I was trying to reach or to press zero to for the next representative.
So, I pressed zero and "Kim" answered very professionally.

I explained to Kim that I wanted my number removed from their calling list. She professionally obliged and asked if I understood the offer. I explained that I did understand that they are calling from a company that offers a discount on electric bill rates. I also explained that I am locked in to a 2 year agreement with another company. She said , "I understand and will remove your number".

She never asked me my name or any other details. I asked her is she knew my number, she confirmed my phone number and offered to remove any other phone numbers I may be receiving calls from, however she did not probe me for any other phone numbers.

American Power and Gas is a legitimate company and these people are just doing their jobs. As annoying as their jobs are to us, THEY ARE NOT SPAMMERS. They are looking for people who can benefit from the deregulation laws that were passed a few years back. (By the way I switched from PECO and have definitely saved.)

I agree that they come across as spammers, their message needs to be more clear and concise, and less obscure, but they  are following the laws and offering a legitimate, money saving service.

The reason I post this message is because people tend to report the wrong calls ( and emails) to the FTC which only hurts all of us because the FTC then spends time and resources sorting legitimate calls from non legitimate calls, making their work less productive, resulting in less solutions to this problem.

Ask AP&G (American Power & Gas) to remove you and they will.

Horse manure!  They are spammers just like the lowlifes that send you unsolicited email.

I didn't ask them to call me and I'm on the do-not-call list.

Why should I have to tell them to take off their list, when, if they obey the law, I won't BE on their list.

They are ambiguous and deceptive when they call. Who would do business with any company that starts the relationship in that manner.

i asked the girl to put me on the do not call list and she gave me attitude and pretty much yelled at me saying my boss won't like that? like please leave me alone i have more important work phone calls to deal with then their stupid BS.

by the way her name is KARA. she should not be talking to her potential clients aka scam victims the way she talked to me.

9 times a day everyday for the last 8 weeks. No lie, and they repetitiously call. They clog my numbers with their back to back calling and my customers cannot get through when they do, I have to put customers on hold to repeatedly tell them to stop calling. Its harassment and it should be stopped. I had someone call me back to back 7 times this morning, same girl, just not getting I already know about the program and I don't want it period. She called back and said I don't think you understand , my response was but I do understand and I don't want it stop calling, hung up and there she calls again this went on for 10 minutes! .

I have told them several times that I understand their offer and am not interested. I have advised my employees to do the same. They continue to call 2-3 times a day. This is called harassment. There are laws against this. It needs to be addressed.

Claimed to be PECO (caller id 888-651-3385). I told Mark Gibson the doctor was not available - would not say what he wanted. He hung up & then called back asking for the office manager. I told him I am the office manager & exactly what could I help him with. He yelled that he was calling from APG & just wanted to reduce our PECO rates. I told him he had a terrible attitude & this was no way to do business. He raised his voice, had a few choice words & hung up on me. Unfortunate that these callers waste so much of our time. This guy got angry with me in the process. I looked up the number & ended up here. Frustrating!

It's a company called American Power & Gas wanting you to switch your electricity supplier.

This company keeps calling about rebate from peco.  Even after I said remove me from list,  the call me right back a minute later, I hang up on the girl, she calls me back to say hi this is the girl you just hung up on.   Unbelieveable!

Called. Told me they had an urgent matter involving my electric bill.  They then asked if I was a resident or a business.  I commented that they ought to know that if they called about my bill.  They were trying to get me to switch electric suppliers.

They just called from American Power & Gas. Left message asking for a call with my "electric bill in hand". Deleted the message and will not call back.
