Bud Says:
Typical of the Buffalo style CMS has an endless pool of potential employees to fill the chairs that feed their operations.
The newspaper stories extol the optimistic attitudes of owners, Jeffry Hauser and Larry Costa along with Patricia and Timothy Kraska of an ever growing business that needs only their talent and expertise to survive.
Emails and information from former employees suggest Capital Management Services is suffering from the same fate that most other Buffalo, NY debt collection organizations face in an unhappy work force, far reaching drug use and untrained, unprofessional management and work staff squeezing every minute they can out of their unprofessional collectors.
CMS, is suffering from too much growth too fast. The number of debt collectors in America is at an all time high, which has created a shortage of accounts to collect and a potential drought in areas like Buffalo, the debt collection capital of the world.
So if we use terms such as... ”Buffalo style collection practices’ to describe the actions of CMS employees and are told that drug use and criminal activity is on the increase, why should we even blink, isn’t that what the business in that area is expected to do?
If CMS has anything good going for them, it is the fact that they have an experienced and respected attorney in Patricia Cipriani. Her background and reputation may be saving Hauser a bundle in legal settlements. Don’t count on luck forever Jeffrey, your house is reported to be a mess and it needs a thorough cleaning.
Anyone dealing with Capital Management Services, Buffalo, NY be warned to take precautions, NEVER give a collector your banking or credit card information, tape ALL of their conversations and contact me for referral to attorneys. As long as they are making money, they will continue to pay off their law suits.

- bboycalled again...same message...i kept my promise and did not call back
- TessHave received numerous calls from this number. Recording says to call them back for an important message. Called back and was put on hold. When person came on line I told them I was on the no call list and to stop calling - never gave them a chance to speak. I have no debt or collections. I don't know what these people want.
- Big MamaAfter receiving calls from this number, I finally called back and asked to be removed from their calling list. The guy I spoke with told me who he was looking for. I told him that nobody by that name has ever lived at this telephone number or address. He said in a sarcastic tone that I should explain why when he calls does this number come up on my voice mail. I told him that I guarantee it doesn't. As if I don't know what my voice mail message says! (It's generic by the way and doesn't list any names.) He then said that he would remove my number. Let's see if this works. Reporting the number on the national do not call web site did nothing.

- JohnLeft me a long recording on my voice mail, that included an inanimate voice with the name of the person they were calling for (a person that I do not know, and I've had this number for 20 years) The message said if you are not that person, hang up now, then said there will be a 3 sec pause. After the pause, it said by continuing to hold, you acknowledge that you are [the person they are looking for]. Then wanted a call back. I'm on the DNC list, and still get plenty of calls, including idiot debt collectors like these. It's all about the harassment.

- MikeI just went thru a fight with a law firm that was harassing me with phone calls for someone that has never lived here or had my phone number. I filed a BBB complaint and got the law firm to stop calling me. Now CMS has started calling me about the same person. It's impossible to get rid of these scumbags.
