They Called me about 5 times and hung up every time....

They called me and asked to speak to the parents of my son????
When i asked who it was they hung up

wanted to know if father or mother was home, I said I will check, they hung up.

This number has been on my caller ID almost every day for about a month now, they will not leave a message and when I called back no one answered.  Does anyone know who this company is? Our number is on the DNC list and I have reported them, but they are still calling.

You all probably have high school students.  This number belongs to Scholarship America.

They have called repeatedly and won't leave a message. We are on the do not call list and I have call screening through comcast but they got through anyway.

A person called today at 1:05 PM.  We are on the Do Not Call list also.  The guy talked real fast and knew my son went to a certain High School.  He asked for $155 as a charitable contribution to the Scholarship Fund America and would send study information on the SAT.  After finding this number on 800 notes and with all the write-ups over the last 2 weeks, I became concerned and  contacted Scholarship America at (800) 279-2083 and spoke with Janine Fugate, the Public Affairs and Communication officer of the company.  It is not them and Scholarship America is talking to the Attorney General and are working to get the word out that this is not them.  Scholarship America is very concerned about this and is considering this a scam as they do not solicit funding like this.  Janine also asked me to contact my Attorney General and file a report with them.  As of this writing, the charge has not hit the Credit Card and the Credit Card company is working with us to ensure that no unauthorized charges are put on the card.

A man called today and asked my daughter to speak to "the parents of [her name]."  I had picked up the extension, and heard the last few words, and before I could speak, the line had disconnected.  The voice I heard was deep like a professional announcer's voice.  My daughter thought it sounded like a "prerecorded voice," but without any followup, she couldn't tell.  Weird enough for my to check the number here.

Caller has called my home at least twice asking for my child by nickname!!!!  When I asked who it was there was a long silence and they hung up.

just received this call 5 minutes ago.  

they asked to "speak with the parents of XXX XXXX because he had expressed interest in their program for SAT preparation."

i responded "my SON expressed interest in the SAT prep?" and the guy said "thank you....." and just hung up on me.

I have received a phone call every day from this number at the same time.  They always hang up.  Thanks everyone for the information.

We had similar experience to "bunny"'s at 7.30pm today.

Google search yielded little info on "Scholarship Fund America".

I received a call from this number. They asked to talk to " the mother or father of Ben". I responded they're not here; who is this? The man said MR.BREWER and hung up.

I don't know why they know my nickname.

I just got a phone call from these people.  They asked for my son's parents and said he had expressed interest in this SAT prep program.  Said they would send it to me for 30-day's for free, then I could return it costing me only 4 stamps or pay for it at the cost of $39. (I thought that was the amount he said).  I said, "ok, so if I keep it, you will then bill me $39., does that mean I have to give you my credit card number now or at the end of the 30 days".  I was told I would need to give it now.  I said, "I'll have to talk to my husband, so can you call back tonight or tomorrow".  He said "We have so much business, we can't do that".  I said "Ok"  ~ Click ~  .

I don't recall a business name but the man talked like he was eating or chewing gum, very slow and seemed to be disinterested.  I really wasn't interested and honestly don't feel my son asked for information on this program.  I was just trying to buy out time to actually ask my son if he really applied for the information.
