8/20/11  2:15pm  I do not answer toll free or unknown numbers.  Caller hung up AFTER my answering machine picked up.

Called me too. It was a company trying to offer me their energy program. I told them not to call my house again!

8/23/11  8:11pm  Called for the second time today.  This time a young perky voice identified herself as Sara and she was calling from my energy company Xcel and said my name.  Tomorrow I will be contacting my energy company and ask that my phone number be removed from their records and ask if they have a third party calling their customers many times a day harassing phone calls.

IF Xcel energy needs to get ahold of me they can send me a letter or not hide behind "toll free' as a caller ID.

8/24/11  4pm - hung up after my answering machine picked up.  

I called Xcel Energy (my service provider) to report the harassing phone calls and was told it could have something to do with The Saver's Switch program that I cancelled.  John from Xcel took down the phone number, called the number himself and determined it was their energy checkup division and he reported do not call on my number.  His return call to me was from a 715 area code and caller ID showed Wisconsin.  I picked up because I was expecting a call from a friend who lives in that area code.  

I find it annoying that Xcel energy would be calling customers and hiding behind a caller ID of toll free and then call daily often twice a day without leaving a message to identify themselves.

I will be reporting this to the MN Attorney General -

I am providing an email that I received as a response to my complaint of harassing phone calls.  It is annoying that they have told me that the calls will stop once I decline the telemarketing solicitation.  There should be a law that they STOP calling after two attempts.  They sold my number...to a telemarketer.

Received three calls in March 2012 weeks fron this number. I did not pick up and they did not leave a message. Annoying!

I find it very annoying that in order to stop receiving unsolicited calls, I have to jump through a few hoops of calling someplace else or e-mailing someplace else.  Right now this number is blocked from my line but it doesn't mean they won't call again -- they just can't leave a message - WHICH THEY DON'T DO ANYWAY !  I DON'T ANSWER AND I REPORT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.  Believe me - being added to the do not call lists do not take you off...guess what...someone buys the list of the list of people who don't want to be called and lo and behold...they'll be calling you to see if the calls stopped.....GO FIGURE.

Pretty much the same that everyone else has reported...

This number just called me too.  I also don't pick up calls from anonymous parties such as 'Toll Free Call'.  This is not the first time they've called, and I usually get a silent voicemail.  I haven't signed up for Energy Saver, so I'd like to know if it actually is Xcel.  If so, then I may also report to the MN Attorney General.

I don't answer but they keep calling my cell. I'm an Excel customer...Like I have a choice...They only leave a VM saying our last name, it spooked  my kids. My caller ID says the call is coming from CA. My number is registered on the national "Do Not Call List" Ah government in action...gotta love it.

The do-not-call list does not apply to companies with which you have an existing relationship.

Wow, why is it soooooo upsetting to you that you received some phone calls?  Get some real problems.

Xcel called to let me know they would be trimming trees around power lines in my neighborhood.  Good to know!

Sent this call to voice mail, gather it is Xcel Energy. Not sure why they hide their Caller ID, I also do not answer unidentified calls. No wonder my energy bill keeps getting higher...they have all these programs that I am paying for that I don't need or want. Just think how much lower everyone's electric/gas bill would be if they stopped all their advertising and marketing campaigns that are unnecessary. Next time they are up for a rate increase I will show up to the public hearing to complain.
They seem to always be trying to drum up more business....and guess who pays for this expense!

Quit calling me hiding behind a toll free number Xcel Energy I don't want your saver switch! Don't put it on my A/C unit as it will be in the yard immediately!!

This # called me yesterday and again today.  I did not answer either call. No msg left  I am an Xcel customer

Auto-dialer left a voice mail telling me it detected a voice mail system, and then hung up. Get it together Xcel.

I just spoke to a woman named Dee Dee from Xcel Energy Home Squad for the last half-hour maybe more and things turned out very well. Dee Dee was so flirtatious after I asked her if she "would be coming to my place to do my inspection?"  She responded with something like, 'I think that you sound like you want me [2 second pause]' to come over and inspect your stuff?' It went on like that but got a lot more steamy for the the rest of the call!

I've been meaning to have Xcel come and tell me what, if anything that I can do to tighten the house up because Minnesota winters can be pretty brutal which causes very high bills! In fact I recall that I indicated "YES" on a form some time ago indicating that I would be interested in getting my home energy efficiency looked at/inspected. It's a free service (No commitment/credit card info involved.) but of course they will try to sell me whatever they can. "I will have to get back to you on that, another company will also be doing basically the same thing that you are and then I will be able to make better decisions" is what I plan to tell them. Hopefully that will keep their prices reasonable since they know a second, independent inspector will be coming.

Anyway, that's who that number is if you get the call and it's Dee Dee, have fun! It may be a call that you are interested in?
