two rings and hangs up. Suspect this is telemarketer trying to sell me something because I supposedly clicked on some website.

they must get paid for every number they dial as they hang up after two rings. And they call every day.

receive calls each day for three days, two rings and then hangs up.

Called this number back, the guy said they called me because they saw that I was interested in attending schools to further my education..umm..I'm already enrolled in a school near me, so why would I attend another? He said to call back if I decide I want any further information. Oh and to make things more creepy, when he answered he said "Hi Amy, how can I help you today?"..I asked how he knew my name and he said "we have your name and number in a call list and it shows up on our ID"..umm thats creepy!

have had three calls in the last three days from 888-672-8062 (shows as Education Authority on line).  They are trying to get me to enroll in school.  This is an unsolicited telemarketer call, I have tried to call them back twice.  First one I asked who kept calling me and they hung up.  2nd one it just rang, then hung up.  They need to quit calling - I am not interested.

That number is from some telemarketing company that wants to talk to people "over the age of 18 that may want to go back to college"
You can try to get them to stop calling but probably wont do much good.
They call first most of the time from another number ((312-878-5683)). The 312 number is a company that they pay to call you first and see if your answering your phone. Most of the time once you answer they will hang up and then notify the "go back to college" company that you answered your phone and now would be a good time to call you.
Pretty much a bunch of crap I know.
I was bored and just called them both back and asked what is was all about.
Hope that helps, and if it dosnt oh well. Couldnt make this any less complicated. Maybe school would be a good idea for you,,,lol

It's a company called "The Education Authority" based out of Minnesota trying to get you to"further your education" I called back, got hung up on the first two times!!!!!!!!!!!! The third time finally got some jerk who started laughing at me, telling me I entered my cell phone on a survey site, or clicked on a "win a 1000 dollar gift card for FREE*" site, i told him i wasn't an idiot that i didn't do that sort of thing! he started blaming my family and friends that it must have been someone in my house hold! He was rude and making fun of me. I hung up and called back again and a  woman picked up the phone i asked for the name of the company and then asked to speak with a supervisor, Daniel Goward, he said that they used computer generated call lists, he isn't sure as how they are generated i explained about the rude associate. He said that he would pull up the calls and find out who it was that I spoke to. They use a digital voice recording system, he said it would be handled and some form of disciplinary action would be issued. I told him i was interested but after dealing with the 17 calls to a prepaid cell phone, being hung up on twice, been laughed at, and the rudeness, I told him he's lucky i don't report his company to the BBB, he apologized again and again. Told me my number would be taken off the list, and as added protection I'm putting all of my phones on the National DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of this number calling me over and over. It's starting to really make me mad and I am going to file a complaint if it doesn't stop. I have asked numerous times to stop calling but I got 3 more calls after that. This is annoying and uncalled for. It needs to stop.

This number 888-672-8062 keeps calling my cell phone two and three times a day and is getting very annoying.  I was not answering it because I did not recognize the number but now I have asked them to please quit calling so I will see what happens. But it is uncalled for and needs to stop.

I get called every morning on my cell phone.  There is never anyone there when i answer the phone.

Calls my cell 3x a day for the last 5 days - I do not answer 888 numbers. They don't leave a msg. Don't know what it is about but want to quit getting these calls!!!!  Wasting my energy!

OK, I have been getting calls like this for a while now and this much I have learned...

Hanging up, asking nice not to call back, getting mad does not work.  Neither do the do not call lists.

Here's what you need to.  Time is money to these people.  Keep them on the phone.  Talk about the weather, your dog or your last visit to the DMV.  One of these clowns I kept on the line almost ten minutes trying to sell him a couch. Keep it up until they hang up on you.  You will be surprised how fast the stop calling.

I don't anserwer the phone unless I know the person that is calling, if it is a 800#, unknown or privite calls. I let the anserwering machine take over the call.

What can be done about this crap? wish they would quit calling . I have gotten calls everyday for over a week now. Enough is enough already. Feel like going physco on them... would only make me feel better until they call again. This is wrong.

My number IS on the National do not call list. In order for you to get a call from a telemarketer if you are on the do not call list you have to have a working relationship with them.(done business in the past) Apparently it does not matter to these people. If this continues I will call a lawyer.

I'm 12 why would they be calling me??

They call my cell phone multiple times a day. If I let it go they only let it ring twice then hang up. If I pick up they don't say anything then hang up on me. Is there anyway to block them or get on a 'do not call' list? This is really irritating.

Please stop calling my  phone. This has been going on 4 or 5 times a day for 2 weeks or better.

Keep getting this call at least 2 times a day. They want me to go back to school. Ya like thats going to happen Im 60 . I called the number back. They didn't give me any info. I said i didn't want them to call again. Lady said she would put my number on the do not call list. We'll see if that worked.

This number has called me every 1-2 hours for the last 4 days.  They ask for my son, whom has not lived at this number in 3 years, but 2 months ago paid off all of his student loans.
Repeated attempts to politely ask them to stop calling have failed.  I  report the call to the Do Not Call Registry.It does NOT keep them from calling, but at least it releases some of my anger and frustration at constantly being interrupted.  
At this point, this is becoming my other full time job!
