- CindyGot calls as well.
- Caller: Cardinal Health
- JeanGot 2 automated calls asking me to return these calls with a personal ID. We don't recognize this number.
- Caller: United Health Care
- JoThe call rings until my answering machine goes on but does not leave a message.
- Caller: Unknown
- allI called the number on the back of my United Health Care card and spoke to a representative - she said to disregard the call because:
a) If it was UHC, they would leave information on what the call was regarding - such as a nurse calling, or a billing issue, ect. - and that they would certainly leave more than a phone number and a PIN ...
b) The number was unfamiliar to her so she called it, and the fact that it didn't state you were calling United Health Care was even more suspect
c) She said my account had no notes on it that she would see them calling about, and that customer service had no notes on any phone solicitation initiatives
So don't call back and enter the PIN it leaves in the message - all you're telling them is yes, this is an active number and I'm exactly who you thought you might be reaching.
Call UHC yourself - their real numbers are easily found online and on the back of your insurance card.- Caller: fraud
- UsWe also received a call from this number. We called United Health Care to verify and they said that they did not call us. So this seems to me to be some sort of fraud or scam.
- Caller: United Health Care
- MikeGot 2 automated calls now, both left messages leaving their number and a "personal security code" for me to call back. I called back, entered the number (probably a mistake) and then just hung up.
- Caller: OptumHealth
- luisI've been getting daily calls from this number for the past 2 weeks talking about important healthcare info. also they asked me to enter a pin they gave on the voice mail. I have UHC so, I'm pretty sure it's a scam and will not call them back. I would like to know how they got my cell number though because I'm pretty sure it's illegal to solicit cell phones.
- Caller: optum health
- Mary StiXUNWANTED CALLS ... Bad customer Service
- Caller: PBTS
- Call type: Survey
- BrentGot a call on Sunday saying I should call back about important healthcare info and giving me a 'personal pin number' to enter when I call back. Next day got a second call that was identical repeat of first. Seems improbable to really be from UnitedHealthCare; I didn't call back.
- Caller: supposedly UnitedHealthCare
- ErikI got a call on June 9, 2011 (supposedly from United Healthcare) to call this number and enter my access code. The phone number is now dead.
- Sara EmmonsI got three calls in a row, one each day, starting Tuesday June 7, another Wednesday June 8, and a third today, June 9. I saved today's message in case it is needed for further investigation of possible pfishing fraud. The female caller claims something to this effect, "Hello, this is United Healthcare... We have important benefit information for you as an employee of Whole Foods. I knew it was likely a scam because 1) I am not an employee of Whole foods; 2) I am not insured directly by United Healthcare. I called United Healthcare, Colorado Regional office and reported this. They are investigating. I gave her the 888-693-6087 number and the security code. I suggested she Google this number. We did this together and read a comment pertaining to the fact that United Healthcare will not issue any such vague information to their insureds.
- Caller: "United Healthcare" but the caller used their name! I'm sure this is pfishing.
- Sara EmmonsPhishing! sorry!
