A Man Said " Like to speak to Stacie Gibbs Mom Or dad"..    I said  "ok... lets try this"..   and they hung up..  My daughter has been deceised for 10 years..

I received a similar call, asking for the mom or dad of my daughter. My son answered and told them to call back in five minutes. They didn't.

Same thing...asked for daughter.  I asked for identification and they hung up.

Received a similar call today asking for a parent of my son at 1:30p.m.  They said they were from some educational office wanting to give me some information on an at home educational program he had signed up for regarding the SAT/PSAT testing.  He said this was a follow up to that request and he wanted to give me information regarding the 30 day trial and he said "okay?".  Just when I was going to respond he hung up.  It sounded like a male hispanic voice.  When I tried to phone the number back a recording said "call cannot be completed as dialed and please check the number."

Received a second call asking to speak to a parent of my child.  When told they were not available and if I could take a message the lady caller said "That's okay.  I will try back later." and then hung up.

Received call from above number asking for parent of my son (used his full legal name which is not what he goes by).  She seemed vary distracted like she was monitoring other calls. Stated that he had asked for information on some sort of educational program.  Then she started asking questions about him.  I interrupted and asked for more information on why she was calling and she hung up.

I looked into this on the internet under "deceptive SAT/PSAT testing calls" and you may want to follow this advice:
If you are a victim of this type of call, or have compromised any information to such a caller, we urge you to contact your merchant card service and dispute the charge ASAP. We also urge you to report the call to your local high school so they can warn others. You can file formal complaints with BBB, your state Attorney General’s Office, as well as with the Federal Trade Commission. BBB has seen a rash of issues surrounding college prep sales pitches via phone.

I recieved a similar call today. I am a student Kristen, and when I answered the phone, a man asked to speak with Kristen (my) mom or dad, when i asked who was calling they hung up, what's the deal?!

Got a call today from this number asking to speak to the mom or dad of my daughter.  I paused in responding and they hung up.

Recieved a call from 888 697 4276 on June 5, 2010 at 9.34am EST. They hung up after I answered. I could not get them to answer when I called back on that number. Very annoying!!

I got the same phone call.
It's someone concerning SATs. They offer a book and a CD for training for the test, costing almost $200. I don't understand why they would have hung up.

Must be a scam.

888-697-4276 is clearly an SAT prep scam.  Avoid.

They always hang up when I answer. This number has called me every day this week, called twice today.

Called my house on 6/10/10 asking to speak to my parents, who were not home, and when asked to leave a message they said no and would call back later. hung up when asked who was speaking.

They call every day.  I am reporting them to the Do Not Call Registry.  They are obviously a scam!

i just got a call asking for my mom or dad,i told them my mom has passed,and my dad is gone,i asked to take a message but they said they would call back later?.

I just received a call asking for the parent of my son. I asked who was calling and they disconnected.

I get a call from this number every day -- sometimes twice a day. The one time I did answer, they just hung up without saying anything.  I don't even bother answering when I see that number.  They still call on a daily basis including weekends.

same!!! they called asking to speak to the parents of Kristen, my sister and i said "sorry their not--" and he cut me off and said "i'll call bac--" he hung up before he even finished talking! oh, and he never called back.
