Unknown caller.  Only states they are a debt collector.  Called me and left a voice message on my work phone number.  Told me to return call to 888-710-6818.

Out of the blue, have received several calls during the past two weeks from this unidentified number. Only states something vague about collecting a debt, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist.

yeah, me too--i got a call from this number for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, n got the same message--they say "if this is _________, then continue to listen to the rest of this message; if you are not, then do not listen to the rest of this message," n then give the phone number.  i don't have any outstanding debts, so i have no idea why they're calling me.  n their call shows up "unknown" on the id.

Multiple times a day every day/..."this call is only for Irinem (sounds like)..."if you are not Irinem do not listen to this call. If you continue to listen to this call you are acknowledging that you are said name....."

I've hung up every time for the last 2 weeks. Sick of the call, I listened and it claims to be a collection agency and gives 1-888-710-6818 as the number to call with regard to collections.

I am now reporting to the phone company and to the FTC and to the BBB and to the Do Not Call List and if it continues, I will call the Police. Dawgone nuisance.

had a message to call these people. Called them and got 'general revenue collection' or GRC. Once I got a person on the phone they asked for my telephone number. After this they asked for my Social Security Number , so i promptly hung up on them.

they call my parents constantly, i am deployed and parents have power of attorney, they wont give any info and keep telling my parents to have me call....to my knowledge i am debt free...

they left a voice mail in my company's astersk voice mail system which then emailed me a .WAV file I listened to in my email program.  It addressed me by name, which is very bizarre for spam.  It also didn't sound like a computer generated voice.

I've gotten one of these before where they left a message on my home machine 2-3 times per day for three solid weeks, and now this.  This one claims to be from  Branden at General Revenue Corp, for a debt owed to William Penn University. (??)  Says to call 888-710-6818 x HJ9.

I'm tempted to call just out of complete curiosity as to what their scam is.  The notes I read about the last spamming I got sounded like everyone that tried to call them didn't even get an answer at the number.  Makes me wonder if this is some kind of DDOS attempt on someone's phone number?

One of GRC's MOs is to call friends or family of the alleged debtor.  For example, I am receiving calls that claim that "John Doe" (my friend who shared my number five years ago and who I have not seen in four years) listed me as a "personal contact reference" and to call GRC back.  Of course the wording sounds similar to that of a potential employer, probably to entice the unwary to call back and pass along further info on the alleged debtor.

someone please tell me. is this a scam? i got the call from 1-888-710-6818. they answerd the phone by saying my name and asked me what me ss# was, but they had it already and wanted me to confurme it. please i'm not sure what to do. somone email me and tell me what to do. squeaky349@yahoo.com

I have been receiving calls from this number recently, i am on the do not call list and have been for several months yet keep receiving these calls.
they claim to be a debt collection company, I have no debts at all and the details were vague. I wish they would stop! Everytime I receive a call I get charged!

I received a call this morning, asking who I was. I identified myself by name but they never did. The gentlemen was very prompt on asking my last 4 digits of my Social Security number, I told him I was not giving it cause they had not identified theirselves of whom they or why they were calling. The gentlemen got a little upset with me asking. When the gentlement kept insisiting on me to give him my Social Security Number. I told him I was not comfortable with this phone call and I hung up.

Ask for confirmation of the last 4 digits of my social secutiry number, when I refused they stated they couldn't discuss the "important" information regarding the federal government.  When I asked what portion of the federal government they worked for, or what this was pertaining to again, they gave no information and refused to give additional feedback and hung up.  I called the number they had called me on to see what the company they worked for was informed it was "General Federal" they id' my phone number and said they needed me to confirm my last 4 digits of my ss#. When I again refused, they said they would continue to call. I told them not to bother as I would not give personal information over the phone. They hung up!

The call and its automated voice leaving a message. If its such an important business matter, why not have a live person contact me? Makes no sense and I have no time to play phone tag.

I repeatedly get this phone call, automated, every single day 7 days a week.  how do i stop this
