- Sabrina| 26 repliesCBCS called me 13 times on my home phone, but no messages. Once I answered girl asked for my husband and I said he wasn’t home. Then she asked if there was another number. I said this is the only number and I have no second number. She was very rude. When I asked to take a message she said no and hung up!

- Melissa| 32 repliesCBCS has been calling my house for three weeks. They always ask to speak to someone different. I told them I was not who they were looking for and that I would contact an attorney if they didn't stop harassing me. The very next day they called me three times beginning at 9 a.m. I then contacted the Attorney General to obtain information to help me stop the harrassing calls. The Attorney General suggested to call them and determine the person they were searching for wasn't me. I called them and they told me that they weren't looking for anyone at my number. After I told the lady that I had contacted the Attorney General she was very rude. She told me that my number would be removed from their list after she had already told me that my number wasn't on a list. I decided to seek further help so I contacted the Federal Trade Commission. The person I spoke with at the FTC told me not to give them any information about myself. The FTC told me to call them back and get their address and mail them a certified letter making a request to receive no more phone calls from CBCS. After I called and she gave me the address I told her that I had been in contact with the FTC and would be mailing them a certified letter. The calls stopped immediately. It has been three days and I haven't received another call. I mailed a certified letter yesterday just in case, but calling the FTC took care of my problem. I would suggest that everyone call the FTC to stop the harassing calls.

- Sue| 2 repliesI have numerous calls from this number .. it rings once and disconnects....I can't get to it fast enough to see if there is a person on it.... This is my work phone number. I wonder if anyone has their address so I can send a certified letter myself???
- Bobby Porter| 6 repliesPlease quit calling! If you do, please leave a voice mail! I have no idea what you guys want, every time I try calling you guys hang up on me.
- AJFrequent calls & hang-ups from this # which has been identified through some actual phone conversations as CBCS. We do owe them money for a medical bill so we are legally getting some of the calls. I only say some because we continue to receive calls after they have actually talked to us that day which I know is illegial. How do we get that to stop, though?

- RS| 1 replyWe receive calls from this number beginning early in the morning around 8am and it continues all throughout the day. Often the phone will ring only two times and stop.
The call appears on our caller ID as QVS with the number 888-727-8819
I may try the certified letter also. - writer that needs peace and quiet| 3 repliesyesterday this number called twice around noon asking for two different people _ Kristin? I said they had the wrong number. Probably a mistake I spoke with them b/c now they are calling daily. Today they called and asked me to hold for an important message -- I hung up and called back and got an answering machine that they were too busy to take the call but the firm is not identified and that I would need to hold for the next operator.
Does anyone have an address for this number so I can mail the FTC certified letter mentioned by the wonderfully helpful people above? This is so freaking annoying! I have good credit so I know it has to be a phishing scam.- Caller: yesterday CBCS, today unknown

- Fed_Up_in_Indiana| 1 replySome man (told me his name is Scott) called my cell phone asking for my husband. He told me he was with CBCS.
The only thing that showed up on the caller ID was the phone number 888-727-8819.- Caller: CBCS
- they're callimg me too| 2 repliesThey are calling a person who apparently had my phone number. We've had our current phone # for 3.5 years.
When I spoke to them, they said they're looking for a guy named "J-----" (name omitted). That person doesn't live at my house and I explained that to them and asked them to remove me from their phone list. I didn't give them my name.
I remember other creditors calling for the "J-----" who had my number previously. If this persists, I'll change my number. I'll also try reporting them to donotcall.gov (I think that's the URL).
I asked them what company they are with, they said CBCS- Caller: CBCS

- rhonda| 3 repliesThese people call us everyday and they do not have any reason to be calling us. I think they are looking for the guy who had the last phone number last. Non the lest it is agrevating.

- DianaThey call everyday it is now 10:31 am, and they have already called 3 times since I walked back in the door at approximately 9:30 am. What is wrong with these people oops here they go again and it is 10:33. If I owed them money I don't know it and seems to me if they wanted something they would leave a message or at least answer me when I say hello. So I don't even bother anymore. Perhaps we should send all these blogs to the Attorney General, and see if they can put a stop to these kind of harrassement. They are calling now 2 more calls and it is 10:36. Now that is what I call harrassment.

- Jason| 1 replyThey send me letters also... I got a blood test done at Marion General hospital and they were supposed to use my girlfriends medicaid to pay for it... but they didn't, so now I've got a collections agency breathing down my back.. And now, Marion General is saying that they never said medicaid would pay for it... They are obviously just trying to get money out of me, but its not going to happen.. If they keep doing this, I will end up getting more money from THEM... I called them back, so hopefully they will resolve this issue before I have to get the courts involved...

- elpline| 1 replyWhen are we ever going to cure the rude, unfeeling, madness served against us by collection callers? Especially from those calling from Medical Collections!!! Seniors with Medicare programs are being held in bondage by the fact that they are limited in income, getting ill and then after getting well, having to wait to find out "what" and "if" our co-pays will cover.
NOW......We are reciving what I would call frequent collection calls from the number shown above. it rings once, then we get a hang-up and this process continues for some time after which we finally get a call. We are in the process of clearing up medical bills (with our Cardiologist office....not with the collection office.) My husband after talking with the extremist from CBCS had a dangerous blood pressure reading after he got off the phone and when I called the Billing Department at the Cardiology office, they actually wanted me to bring him in to the office to make sure he was not having a heart attack. That's wonderful from the Cardiology group but a horrible response from CBCS. The doctor's office has called CBCS to take us off the CBCS call list, that they will send payments to CBCS and that we are not to be called but here we are again.
Sometime soon, we can only hope the system will change, or perhaps we won't be around to worry about it any more.
Sincerely, Seniors wanting peace in our old age.- Caller: CBCS

- maria replies to JasonYour girlfriends medicaid will not pay for your service unless you are her husband you dope. Some common sense would do you wonders. Good luck in your court battles. By the way the problem lies with you and Marion General. CBCS is just a messenger.
- maria replies to rhonda| 2 repliesHave you tried telling them wrong number? That would be a start!
