Sabrina - 30 Jun 2007CBCS called me 13 times on my home phone, but no messages. Once I answered girl asked for my husband and I said he wasn’t home. Then she asked if there was another number. I said this is the only number and I have no second number. She was very rude. When I asked to take a message she said no and hung up!

Bud - 7 Oct 2008Woman that called was very rude I pretended to be a police officer and got a guy named Joe who was also very rude. He claims he is with a collection company called CBCS and his supervisor is Cathy Baker. He will not give his full name. Tough rude guy on the phone but afraid to say who he is. The best thing to do is to complain to your local police and report them to your local BBB, your phone company & if you are on the do not call list report them at: https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx

Melissa - 17 Jul 2007I have gotten a call from 888-727-8819 daily. It is a woman asking to speak to my husband. I have told her numerous times he is at work. Finally I ask who she was and she said CBCS needing to speak to my husband about a personal matter. She was very rude and hung up on me.

I explained to him that I was my son's legal guardian. He gave me a fax # to send my guardian papers to, I am waiting on a call back

Melissa - 3 Aug 2007CBCS has been calling my house for three weeks. They always ask to speak to someone different. I told them I was not who they were looking for and that I would contact an attorney if they didn't stop harassing me. The very next day they called me three times beginning at 9 a.m. I then contacted the Attorney General to obtain information to help me stop the harrassing calls. The Attorney General suggested to call them and determine the person they were searching for wasn't me. I called them and they told me that they weren't looking for anyone at my number. After I told the lady that I had contacted the Attorney General she was very rude. She told me that my number would be removed from their list after she had already told me that my number wasn't on a list. I decided to seek further help so I contacted the Federal Trade Commission. The person I spoke with at the FTC told me not to give them any information about myself. The FTC told me to call them back and get their address and mail them a certified letter making a request to receive no more phone calls from CBCS. After I called and she gave me the address I told her that I had been in contact with the FTC and would be mailing them a certified letter. The calls stopped immediately. It has been three days and I haven't received another call. I mailed a certified letter yesterday just in case, but calling the FTC took care of my problem. I would suggest that everyone call the FTC to stop the harassing calls.

Shelly - 27 Aug 2008CBCS keeps calling for a guy named Chris (Christopher) Abell who doen't even live here and NO there is no forward address or phone for him! I have told them at least 2 DOZEN times. Yet they still keep calling. Why not spend their time looking for the real phone or address for this person? What a waste of a life to have to be a credit collector.

We do owe them money for a medical bill so we are legally getting some of the calls. I only say some because we continue to receive calls after they have actually talked to us that day which I know is illegial. How do we get that to stop, though?

RS - 3 Oct 2007We receive calls from this number beginning early in the morning around 8am and it continues all throughout the day. Often the phone will ring only two times and stop.
The call appears on our caller ID as QVS with the number 888-727-8819
