It is for inmates if you want to accept their phone calls.

My husband was in airport to come in Romania .. He call me from this number.. Please help me what's going on?? He was arrested?? Where i can found him?? How can i speak with him?? Sorry for my enghlish..

The greeting does not identify the inmate supposedly trying to call. Luckily my cell phone company does not accept collect calls. Pushed number to speak with live person who will collect your credit card number. Wanted name of inmate and/or prison but no one ever answered. Suggests to me that this is a scam to steal your credit card number or to put a significant long distance/collect call charge on your landline phone. You would typically a be placed on hold while you pay for a call to some foreign country at $5 or more a minute.

The number 816 826 3003 is a terminating number originating from Independence Missouri. The voice message said to press 1 if I decide to accept the call or dial 888 729 4326 to set up a pre paid account. Have no idea what this is all about. Did not call back. Sounds like a scam to get important and sensitive info. Beware, collectors, telemarketers, etc. are getting very sneaky and sophisticated. They use a "friendly looking" local area code, instead of an out of state or 800 number to try to get your guard down. Never, ever answer. If it's important enough they'll leave a message.

Farking Dooshbags have called me 5 times tonight with this "setup your prepaid account" scam.

100% SCAM !  DO NOT !!! accept the call or you will be billed for a collect call.

Received a call from 425-636-3300 and i ignored it since i do not know the number and it was 2:00am when they called. They left an automated message telling me to call 888-729-4326 to accept the call and set up a prepaid account for the inmate at Luling Detention Center who's name was "McLovin"!!

Caller ID showed TOLL FREE CALLER w/ the number of 888-729-4326.  An English speaking recorded woman's voice, said this is "Legacy."  Will you accept a collect call from - then a recorded male voice said, "Vincent ______"  I hung up immediately.  I hope I don't get charged for this.

Trying to see if there is anyway possible to figure out who tried to contact me.

It's the Freakazoid. Wanna go for a sno-cone? Due to caller ID spoofing (faking) your caller could be anyone anywhere in the world. Always a good idea not to take, or call back unknown numbers. Sound the horn of Urgency!

This number called me and the message was in Spanish.  The only English that was spoken was a female voice that said correctional facility.

They changed their number to 5865585095. They call you from 5865585095 and tell you to call 8887294326. It is still the same inmate scam. And they tell you they are from Warren Police Dept. Blocked both numbers but apparently they are getting new numbers.

I received a call from a 256 area code and it said it was an inmate calling. I dont know anyone in jail. Then gave me the 1 888-729-4326 number. I called that and was on hold for 12 minutes. Woman came on the phone and ask for my name & number and told me she would block the number from calling me. I really hope this was not a scam.

I recieved a call from this 888-729-4326. They preceeded with a set of instruction to follow to accept a call from an inmate. This called actually had the name of my son using his voice as the inmate calling.  I was not available to answer the call at the time that it came. So I listened the VM about 6 hours later to discover it's content. I immediately called my son and discovered him taking a nap in his dorm room. :-[.  Can I ask you get a real job?

Beware.  Received automated call from a local number (559-573-8670) which gave this 888# to call on Sunday night, starting at 10:35pm, called 5-6 times in a row before we finally unplugged our phone since there was no other way out (no option to not take the call and to stop calling).  "Legacy," recorded female voice, supposed collect call from inmate in Fresno County Jail, feels very bogus - other reviews say this number wants you to set up prepay calls by giving credit card number, or something like that.  Also got same call from "Legacy" 4 days earlier in the mid-afternoon, same operation.  Weird, frustrating.  Beware.

This number is part of a scam, but not the one you think. Jails (and companies like this that contract with jails) charge ridiculous sums for jail inmates to make phone calls to family, friends, their attorney, whatever. It's either a collect call (which as noted most cell phone carriers do not allow) or you have to put money into the account for the inmate to use to make their calls. But if you want to be able to talk to the inmate, you have to create the account or accept the collect calls. And the jail owner gets a cut of the proceeds.

Call from clinton twp jail wanting us to accept phone call from an innmate we didnt know. Also they called my daughters number the same day within minutes of each other.

888-729-4326 to set up account. Sounds like a scam.  5th call on a Sunday afternoon and evening.

Well anything out of a police station that requires you to pay would be from a criminal, so yes, this is a scam since that is what criminals do.

This number has obviously been spoofed or is BS altogether. I got a call, said someone is in jail, when it said the person’s name, I don’t know that person or anyone else in jail. TOTAL SCAM
