They keep calling and know one is on the line when I answer and they leave no messages or call back number on voice mail.

I receive about 2-3 calls per day for as long as I can remember.  They always hang up and do not leave a message. I do not answer "unknown" calls.

Called at 10:32 CST, 8 Dec 07. Left no message. Although Caller ID identified no more than their number, there is a list of all the numbers used by URS available. It's the only way I can tell them from the other idiots that ignore the Do Not Call list or do not have the common courtesy to let the called individual know who they are and why they want to talk to them. Vague messages and/or threats are no better.

The phone rang, caller ID said TOLL FREE 1-888-733-1243 so I let the machine pick it up. I heard a man say the call was for Yvonne Guzman and would he call her back immediately. I picked up the phone, asked what number he had dialed. He repeated my number. I told him no Guzman here. He said thank you and hung up.

They continue to harrass me everyday and just wish they would stop.

This 1-888-733-1243 number repeatedly calls my home maybe two or three times a week. They usually either hang up when I answer or there is no one on the other end. This time I finally got someone. He asked for someone that doesn't live here I told him he had the wrong number. I had asked him who this was and he just said thank you and slammed the phone down quickly.

Call asking for another person...  never asked who I was.  Told me to trust them that would no longer call me.. we'll see.

They have contacted me regarding a debt as well, used subtle threats of wage garnishment and of taking the collection issue to court. I have looked at the BBB Reliability Report on this agency and I think anyone who has been contacted by this agency about a debt should check it out. They were involved in a civil lawsuit for violating fair debt collection practices and had to pay out 240K due to same and, needless to say, now this company has stricter regulations on what they can and cannot do than other collections agencies. Received call to restricted number at 3:30PM.  Authorities notified of unauthorized call to restricted number.  Crininal complaint in the process of being filed.

URS- Collection Agency. They stop at nothing and will call anyone associated with the debtor, family, friends, etc. They will tell your friends and family members you are listed as a co-debtor. Use baseless threats, etc.tell you what they are going to do if you don't pay which is usually actions that are illegal such as jail, etc. My advice, send them a cease and desist letter which can be found on the internet by looking up debt collection. When you send that letter send it certified and return receipt requested otherwise they will continue to call you. If the calls continue after you get confirmation the letter you sent was signed by someone within URS go and file a complaint on The Federal Trade Commission's Website and they will investigate your complaint and possibly get fined if URS is in violation of The Fair Debt Collection Law. Left message for someone who is not at this number. Said not to listen to the message if I wasn't him. RIGHT!
