Caller calls my parents house and ask to speak to a person with the same first and last name as my sister but with a different middle initial.They say if this person does not live here press 2 and when you press 2 they give the call back number listed above and give a reference number to key in

Just for the hell of it, I called this number. They did not call me first. Some guy named David with an accent of unknown origin asked how he could help me.

My reply: "I'm sorry, who is this?"

His response: "Please hold on the line."

After a lengthy silent hold, I hung up.

Have had several calls from 888-745-9332.  Called back a few times today, from a private number.  Finally someone sounded half way intelligent, gave company name "RPM", and then "Can you hold please?".  I hung up.

Check you phone bill when it comes in.  See if you were charged for calls made to 888-745-9332.  I got several calls same like yours.  Several times I returned call from a restricted tel #.  Put on hold just like you.  I suspect that there may be a charge per minute to your phone bill for each minute you are on hold.  I suspect this becomes income to whoever owns the 888 tel #.

Don't bother to call back.  They just put you on hold forever.  I suspect you get charged for every minute you are on hold.  One time when I called, atleast they answered "RPM, can you hold please?"

They called our business, had the right name, but put me on hold briefly and then asked me if I was the Accounts Payable manager. I said yes so they would stop calling. They then attempted to record the conversation(?!) and asked me questions that made no sense. I then said "Can you just take me off the list?" "No we can't, you have to pay your bill". WHAT BILL?! I hung up. If they charge me for this ridiculousness I will be furious.

I have been getting a call from 425-354-1563 for several weeks now asking for "Gilner Osan" (I think).  I don't know who that person is and it is not even remotely close to my name, either first or last.

I called the 888-745-9332 number to unregister my number a woman with and unknonwn accent answered "RPM can you hold please", but was put on hold for several minutes so I hung up.  I called back and the same thing happend so I called back and it rang for about 5 minutes before I hung up again.

Do a google search for "rpm collection agency" and you will find many other people in the same boat.

I have been getting voice messages in my mailbox from Recievables PE, with someone mentioning a name that does not even sound like my name and asking me to call back with a reference number.

When I called back, an extremely rude guy answered, refused to disclose what the call was about and why they were calling me. He wanted my number to take it off their dialler list. I gave the reference number that they gave and the guy says they have 13 different numbers against the reference number, so he still wants my number. Before I could give him my number he put me on hold and then after a minute the call got disconnected.

I am not sure what business is this, but it surely seems to be harassing a lot of people. What recourse do we have against such calls?

They call 2-3 times/week with a robocall that does not shut off even when I hang up the phone. I have repeatedly told them to remove this number and they refuse. Whoever they are looking for does not have this number as I've had it for 5 years.

I got a call from RPM and I am trying to figure out if they are a legit company or not.  Help!!!

They call at all hours - last night (Sunday) at 8:06 pm.  I ask for back up information and they yell at me asking why I will not pay.  Claim that I owe them for a Verizon Wireless account, but have never mailed me anything despite my requests for proof.  I have called Verizon Wireless for the Home and Cell - both have confirmed that I do not have any amounts due and owing.

RPM should be investigated for their predatory tactics and possible fraud!

From what I can tell, they are a legit company.  However, I am not sure their claims are always legit.  They keep coming after me for a debt that does not exist.

Yes, I am getting calls from these people too.  Usually they are trying to collect on uncollectable debt - so don't pay them anything.

If you want these phone calls to stop, you need to tell them to stop calling you and report them to the do not call registry.  (google for info.)

just received 5 (no lie) calls on my cell in as many minutes; I will not pick up for them. they claim that I am covering for some deadbeat named James (?!?). this has been my number for over 2 years now but they refuse to listen - can't someone report these people to the better business bureau??? they don't even care that what they are doing is illegal.

A get a hang up call from these jokers on my cellphone at least once a day. Never leave a message. My credit is spotless and I don't owe anyone money.
