I got a letter in the mail (National Debt Relief Plan and it has that number on it. I think it is a scam. Will not fall for it.

I got the same flyer/letter from them:

I think they are an upstart "credit counseling" organization which are usually a front for banks to collect some money and lower their risk of total loss. The end result is, you still have uncollected debt which ends up in collections, a lower credit score.

I got the same letter. Funny my husband hasn't since any debt is both of ours. Got online to check them out. They are some type of credit counseling. Not going there. If you get behind, it's better to just call your creditors and make arragements and it won't cost you.

HI--me too! I got a different number too. My mailer said 888-693-1182. I checked with the better business bureau--I am waiting for them to return a call. I can't even pull this place up on the better business website.They go by National Debt Relief Plan or Global Debt Management.Anyone else got a different name? Thanks--I'm pissed!!

Same letter from the National Debt Relief Plan, telephone number 888-754-7550. It looks so official.

I got the same letter too. They are a debt settlement company. I called them and asked if they were affeliated to the gov't and they clearly told me NO. They are approved with D&B and are legitimate. I started using them 5 months ago and they settled my B of A card for 30 cents on the dollar. I was very impressed. I am going to try and put additonal money into the program so I can get out debt sooner.

shill for the debt settlement people, obviously.  How much did they pay you for this lie?

if it is so great why do they say you ca recieve money when all you are doing is just paying out money that you owe?

I got a letter from FEDERAL Debt Relief Plan, P. O. Box 90027, Washington, DC with the phone number 1-888-210-4811. Spanish 1-888-719-7703. I guess that's their new name in 2009.  They replaced NATIONAL with FEDERAL.

Washington DC, 20015-2601 is the address and their phone number is 1-888-228-5333.they have a website too. www.natinaldebtreliefplan.com.

I got the same letter 9 months ago and ended up signing up in there program and they just settled my 3 credit card last week. It was a b of A credit card and they saved my 9k from my total balance. The program is not a scam. I know 1st hand. Go to www.tascsite.org and ask them if they are under good standing. The companies name is Global Debt Mgmt

I received same letter today 6-5-09 and they are using 888-365-8036 and in spanish 888-719-7703. This looks like it came from a government agency - very misleading.

Curious as to how the obtained my name. Creditor? Credit Bureau? WHY does their contact info CHANGE SO MUCH?!...NOT A GOOD SIGN if you ask me.

My husband received this flyer too with the same Washington DC address, but a different phone number 1-888-838-0223.  Googled the phone number it, doesn't belong to Natonal Debt Relief Plan.  Funny he received two differnet debt relief flyers on the same day.  From National Debt and from a DMB Financial, what a joke.
