This number just called to report I am under scrutiny by IRS. Threatened arrest then wished me a nice day. IRS will NEVER contact a taxpayer in this manner. An obvious moron is operating here. Don't even think about a reply. Ignore these idiots.

Had same message on my answering machine today. IRS contacts you by mail FIRST, and never threatens like this. They never ask you for payments over the phone either. OLD SCAM !!!!

Just got the same message.

Scam....threatening.....mispronounced the word "action" (they pronounced it like vacation without the V. Ha!Ha!)

Other posts correct. Underwent an audit at my employers 3 years ago...this is not how IRS conducts business.

Same message. Didn't even use the correct terms for the IRS.
Has anyone called the number back just to see what they are?
