dont these visa scammers ever give up    sick of them

This jerk called us and wanted our credit card info, he had too much info so we cancelled our credit card.
We called Visa immediately and also googled them this is a scam.

i got a lower interest rate they are really good previously my interest rate was 19% know they got me 3.9% i am so happy hats off to them..!!

i was scared first but then after things happened the way it should be i took a deep breath.some companies are really good like this one they got me 6.9% interest rate though my own bank was not willing to drop it down but somehow liberty international did it.they sent me the confirmation letter in the registered mail stating the lower rate.

When I picked up the phone there was this really loud music so I just hung up and looked up the number on this site.  Now I know not to bother answering it if they call again.  My name is on the national do not call list so what is going on?

yeah they phoned about my VISA card, and I don't have one.. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Clearly a scam.  He could not answer all of my questions and ended up hanging up on me.  I tried to call the number back and it does not exist.  I don't trust any company that cannot receive my calls, particularly regarding credit.

I went to the local "dollar" store and picked up a whistle. I now try to answer every call, wait till an actual human is on the line and then blast away.......     it's a petty response I know but it gives me great satisfaction.

Got a call this evening, told me they were going to lower my interest rate on my Visa to 3.99% for life.
They had so much of my information including my up to date balance on my Visa, my Credit limit and even the date of my last payment on the card and the amount the payment was for. I was ALMOST thinking they were legit because they had all that info. Got off the phone and called my bank to cancel the card immediately. The bank told me that they got ahold of one of my statements some how. They almost got me!

Have you checked your balances lately...they are scammers. I hope they didn't get you!

It is impossible for a third party company to reduce your credit card interest rate for you.  They would have to have power of attorney to do this without you never speaking to your credit card company, and whether they are successful in getting a new rate for you or not, you pay a huge fee to them.  It is a scam.

Some "consulting firm" sounded like in India. Called back the number, and while the first time got "out of service" message, second time got through to someone at "Liberty International". Says they're located in Markham, Ontario and are a debt reduction company or something.

When asked, gave a local number 905-595-4511 which you can search to learn more. When reminded about the Do Not Call list, he was prepared with the "sometimes we make mistakes" spiel and promised to remove my number immediately and so forth. Yeah, whatever.

An idiot from this number called about my VISA/Mastercard account....I didn't know they merged, so I hung up immediately on "Eddie"...Be careful, they are obvious scammers!

Got a call from this number today.  They said it is Legato Financial Services Inc.  gave me the same spew.  I checked it on the internet and found this website:  www.legatofsi.com.  They had a lot of my personal info.....I also called my bank so they do know about it.  Yes, people be very careful.  You just never know.

Woman phoned with east Indian accent and I couldn't understand her and asked to speak with someone else. Now a man gets on the phone and he has the same accent and says he is her supervisor. He tells me about how I can reduce my Visa rate of interest and has some info about which VISA I have and what the rate of interest is?????? He told me he was from Legato financial services Inc.

Sounded like they were in downtown Delhi.  Kept asking about the "issue with my credit report".  I yelled a bit, then just hung up...

[***] calls me right in the middle of dinner (like there is any other time that they call) but I only pick up the phone and listen. This makes them start saying "hello, hello, can you hear me?". I just wait on the line wasting their time as they wasted mine in calling me. Just do this to every unknown number that calls you. In the odd case that it's actually a friend using some VOIP system or a friend on holiday somewhere you will at least be able to answer it if you recognize their voice otherwise the scammers are sweatin' it out saying "hello, hello, are you there, can you here me?! :)

Calling about my "Visa or Mastercard" (not too specific!) said he was from "Academy Credit" to fix my credit rating.

SCAMMERS!!!  they knew alot of my personal stuff...then asked for my visa #...ha ha..do you think I'm crazy!!!!  he said are the first #'s 5254....why yes!!!  idiot...all VISA's start with the #...do you think I just fell off the turnip truck...that was enough playing...not now or never will I give some fool my # over the internet....SCAMMERS!!!!
