We get calls daily from 1-888-778-8213 for "Tiffany Brooks"  Have told them repeatedly that there is no such person at this number (we've had the number for 5+ years).  Does not matter what you tell them, don't answer, answer and hang up, they call again and again.  How do we get them to stop?????

These are horrible people. They are the collection agency for ATT, for one. They are rude, crude and lewd. One man told me he could call me up to 8 times a day per the Federal Debt Collection Act and that he could say whatever he wanted to during the calls. Yesterday, while speaking with him I asked him if his next plan of attack was to threaten to kill me and he said, "Yes, I am going to kill you." I called ATT to see what was up. Turns out my fax line had not been paid -- although it was on an automatic pay plan but ceased sometime late last winter. Since I am a "no paper" customer, my business fell through the cracks because I moved and they didn't change the address two and a half years ago. I have one terribly nasty recording from an agent on my Verizon call answering. His message said I would be outed as a person who didn't pay her bills. This was AFTER I had called ATT and straightened out the issue, including payment of what was owed. I have three cell phones and a residential line with ATT that I am going to attempt to replace. Don't bother calling the (972) number above, no one answers. Guess they just can't handle what they dish out.

Just rang on my cell out of the blue. When I picked up, no one answered; the line just went silent. I googled, only to find it is the dreaded number everyone keeps talking about. Add then another one to the complaints about these folks.

This call came to my cell phone.  I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.  But why would someone from this number be calling a cell phone?

Keep getting calls from this number.. When I answer all I get is a recordiing saying they are debt collectors and to call another number. No live person, just a recording. I have cleared up ALL my debit, this continuous phone calling is very annoying.

They are a collection agency in Texas. I think they collect for AT& T. They will call and hang up, sometime they leave a message in your phone in box but leave it empty. I think it to make you upset so you can call.

They have called 3 times alone tonight. They keep leaving messages for Rebecca Nash (who is neither me nor anyone I know). Like an earlier poster, I've had this number for over 4 years. In the message, they tell you the file number (hers is 26646908) and tell you to disconnect during the message if you are not the person they are calling. So, for the first time tonight, I tried that. Well, all that got me was 2 more calls in quick succession (which I did not answer). They do say that they are Southwest Credit Systems and give a number to call them back (the same one on the caller id).

These criminals along with ATT should be sued. They ask for 'john smith' and then claim you owe att mobile. Then they want your social security number. The phone company of all people should know who will answer a phone that someone calls. How is it possible for the southwest credit and ATT to get the wrong phone number? The phn company doesn't know anyone's phone number??? Bunch a criminals should be put in jail and given the ol' jailhouse rock. Someone out there knows their names ... time to run them out of the neighborhood! Hit their wallets where it hurts.

    Picked On!
these people claim to have my AT&T account, but all they have done is call me. They have yet to send me anything in writing. Sent two debt Validation letters that came back due to them going to incorrect address. Hope they get this one. My attorney stated that I should'nt pay them anything, until they validate not only the debt, but that the own the debt.

These people call my WORK PHONE 7 times per day. I went on vacation for a week, and came back to 35 voice mails, all from them.

I thought it was illegal for them to call you at work..

Second call in two weeks, no voice on the other end. Used to get these from other numbers but this seems like the new one.
