Received a mediation letter in reference to my stupid ex room ate that wanted to prosecute  me for writing her a bad check!!! For heaven sake she slept with my man... But I called the number spoke with a mediator on the case she was able to speak with the attorneys to let me just pay out of court :) even though the b#%^* is a w^##*+ it wasn't worth me going to jail!

Received a letter with  this number on it. My landlord wants to sue me for damage to her property.the letter advised me I had 10 days to respond without further legal action taken wanting to see if we can come to ” amicable agreement”. My husband Received a certified letter today from this firm that stated that they were mediating on behalf of Taff Tax Accounting Service.He wrote  a bad check a few years back in 2008 to file unpaid tax returns and they are trying to prosecute me for writing the check. I spoke with my attorney and he said that they can prosecute me for writing bad checks so I am gonna call the number first thing in the a.m. keep you guys posted.If it is any luck to you guys there is a website on the letter www.universalmediations.com

called the number and they were trying to schedule a mediations  agreement so that the case will not go on with legal actions. as a result i went to the bank had them search the check and Sure IN DEED  my husband had written a check to pay the unfiled taxes so we just called and spoke with a mediator that was able to get the attorneys representing the tax firm  to allow us to settle out of court.

Hmmm...many years ago, I tutored at a state college and took cash payments from my students.  One of these students consistently paid me with checks that were no good.  When the amount of her 'chit' reached $100, I contacted the sheriff.  I was told that I could go through mediation for the amount.  But, the phone number and the agency were county agencies, not private agencies.  

I guess that it's not impossible that private agencies might be bidding for these mediation jobs from civil agencies, but it doesn't seem likely since these might involve criminal activity and that has to be handled by a civil authority.  If this is legit, you might've been scammed.

Well, i know i had a certified letter from this firm. I spoke with my personal attorney and I was advised that mediation companies are a cheaper smarter way to resolve cases outside of court.Now my issue was a criminal issue of check fraud .i had an id theft issue when speaking wth universal mediations the issue was resolved.just be informed if you did the offense mediate  in my case i didnt commit the offense and through mediations it was resolved.www.universalmediations.com

I GOT A PHONE CALL TALKING ABOUT A CHECK FROM SIX YEARS AGO. THEY NEVER SENT ME OR PROVIDED ME WITH PROOF JUST THREATS THAT A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST . FOR A 600.00 CHECK. AFTER TO TELLING ME ITS AT THE DA OFFICE. THEN TELLING ME I HAVE TO PAY IT TO DAY OR GO TO JAIL. NOT EVEN TRYING TO WORK IT OUT. THE SO CALLED INVESTIGATOR MISREPRESENTED HIM SELF IS A LAW  ENFORCEMENT INVESTIGATOR. I HIRED A LAWYER. STILL WAITING ON A ANSWER IF THIS IS A LEGAL COMPANY.

This is all fake!!!!! DO NOT pay these people a penny!!!! A fake investigator calls, tells you there is a warrant for your arrest, links you up with this mediation service to have the bad check you wrote cleared and have the warrant stopped. The mediation company is a fake working with a fake investigator. Report any calls you receive to the federal trade comission.

I got the SAME call, saying we wrote a check six years ago to an employer. They said there was a warrant for my arrest. Universal mediations and the investigator are fake. Call the federal trade comission now and report this! And do not pay one penny to then!!!

I received a "10 day intent notice" from this company. However, when I went to validate the check with my bank everything matched up. I wrote the check as well as I was able to verify with the check guarantor company the validity of the claim. National Check Trust was the name of the guarantor company that filed the claim.All i can say if  they are alleging things all you have to DO YOUR RESEARCH ON WHAT THEY ARE ALLEGING! Everything has a paper trail.

WELL I DONT KNOW, BUT I READ ALL THESE POSTS AND I AM GETTING DIFFERENT FEEDBACK.MY SITUATION IS SIMPLE I RECIEVED A MEDIATIONS LETTER ABOUT A CASE OF CHECK FRAUD FROM 08'. I CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE LETTER AND SPOKE WITH A FEMALE BY THE NAME OF LORI SPENCER WHO GAVE ME ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE CLAIM. I WENT TO WELLS FARGO AND SURE ENOUGH THEY WERE ABLE TO FIND THE CHECK WITH MY SIGNATURE THAT SLIPPED THROUGH THE CRACKS. SO BEFORE YOU READ ALL THESE POSTS OF INDIVIDUALS THAT PROBABLY DID WRITE THE CHECK. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! I AM HAPPY THAT I DID BECAUSE IF I WAS TO LOOK AT THESE AWFUL POSTS I WOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO JAIL FOR SOMETHING THAT I DID DO .

The only thing you'll go to jail for will be for committing fraud on the phone and trying to do it on 800 notes.

YOU SOUND SILLY !!! I got my proof #nuffsaid. Do your own homework before you listen to  irate people. If I were to listen to people like you I would be in Harris County Jail for a check that I ACKNOWLEDGE that i wrote.
