Who is this

This number has appeared on my caller ID twice, but no message has been left. When I called the number there was a generic voicemail that said it was "Customer Support" but no company name.

It's LLBean Visa.

It can't be for LLBean Visa, theya re calling me too and I have never had an LL Bean card. It's a debt collector of some sort.

I don't think its LL Bean either, I don't have one. Who ever they are, they've called me 3 time in the last hour & haven't left a message.

It's a debt collection agency they work for numerous cards...mastercard for one. Means you're account is in collections that could drop your credit score significantly, it's best to follow up and ask for validation.

Yup, it's a Debt collector type. Don't give them any answers, make them send you mail and that way you might have recourse in terms of the fact that scammers are out there to get your money. Credit card companies will sell your debt to collectors (meaning they have insurance AND sell the debt!). They sometimes sell the debt to more than one collection agency so now you have 2 or more companies trying to get you to pay up. This is why you want to take action fast. Tell them to send you papers and stop calling you and by law they have to stop calling you or you will report them as harassment. Pay the debt only once. Follow up to fix things but keep on top of this.

Thieves people keep calling me 8 10 tomes a day.  They leave no message

Uggg! They've called three times today, twice yesterday and day before. NO WAY  they're legit debt collectors. We have none--though we do have an LL Bean VISA. Bill was payed in full last week and every month before that. What happened to the "National Do Not Call" list?!?

IF this is indeed a collector for L.L. Bean/Visa, I think I'd rather deal directly with Barclays Bank in this matter.

Barclay's always calls and identifies themselves.

I have a dispute with Barclaycardus. It's just a disputed charge. If they have sent it to a debt collector while the dispute is active, that would be illegal.

Well it sounds like it is in house collections and not a third party.

8 AM call!!!! Unknown CID

They keep calling me at 8 a.m., but I don't answer calls at 8 in the morning and they don't leave a message so I don't know for sure.
