this is yet another number from Vandenberg and Chase, they got several hundred dollars from me a couple of years ago. thank goodness for forums like this one, I appreciate the information.  These people are threatening and scumbags.

I just recieved the same phone call!  Are these legitimate people or scammers? I am kind of scared.

I also got the same call. The "gentleman" on the phone was very abusive to my companies receptionist and she hung up on him. If my understanding of the debt collection laws is accurate, harrasment is illegal and can make it impossible for these clowns to collect from you. Ill have to research it more to be sure. Don't let them push you around. Bottom line is the people who make the calls are minimum wage earning high school dropouts with no motivation in life and what you owe to the people that employ them is none of their business

Just received a call fom Vandenberg, Chase and Assoc.  They called me about 2 months ago saying they had a warrent for my arrest and that i had to pay $8000 dollars...  My fiance works at the court house and said I don't have a civil case and that they can't garnish or put me in jail for not paying a loan back... They first have to take you to court... They have all of my information, address, work and bank information.  They need to send a letter to appear before they can deduct any money from your work.

If they keep this up the loan company is going to owe me money for the stress and time they are wasting me...  

Don't let them get away with this... i had another loan that i have not paid on and i never received any call like this, nor have they filed a case against me.  When i got the loan this time, they gave me the $250 then tried to create a check for another $340 at the same time... I notifed my bank and had it stopped then i closed my bank account.

Be careful and don't let them take avantage of you, you have rights and don't let them say other wise.

Recieved a call from Ms. Sims about a valid account, setup a payment arragement on my credit card. Had an emergency need that cash for something else, I called her back and she was not in the office. The day the payment was due, I got a called from her to resolve the matter. I called her back and was willing to give my bank card # to settle it, however her manager came on the line and then threaten me, that he will run my SS# and see where I work and garnish my wages.
He then said hang up and run, because they know that people like me do not pay back.
After the call I googled the time and see that these people have harassed others. They are a bunch of frauds, the number they called from doesn't even match the one on there website.

Yea, they keep calling at my work and harassing.  Also, telling my co-worker, if I don't pay them and call back, Mr. RICHMOND. I was in serious trouble.  And would face trouble.  Well,  I don't like threats at my job and to my co-workers, my business.  They're not suppose to do that.

Called my job and left this number, I don't know who they are but they hace never contacted me before I got this call at work

Vanderburg & Associates out of Atlanta, GA. They are debt collection agency for payday loan places.

Received a call today from 540-808-1128 and a Ms. Kilworth left a message stating I need to call her back at 1-888-812-2922 ext 3014 stating it is an urgent business matter and need to get my statement of intentions to this matter and left some file #.  I got Mr. Number on my phone so when they call again it will pick up and hang up in their face!

I received a call from Vandenburg and Associates telling me that I owed on a payday loan that I don't ever remember taking out. It was from 2009 and they said they had spoken with the bank (one that I no longer use) and they had verified that that amount had been deposited into my account.  They also had the last four digits of my social security number, probably because I have recently applied for an online payday loan.  Are these people for real?  Is it a scam that I should ignore, or should I get legal representation?

I was given their phone number to call a Mr. Paul Grossman -- he called my work number AND also left a message with a friend of mine; not sure how he even gother number. I called and left a message at his extension, told him I wasn't aware of what it was about, but please do not call my work or friends again as I don't appreciate them being dragged into whatever situation this is. I also told him I would attempt to call him again at my earliest convenience. I'm not sure what it's about, but I'm glad I came onto this site to check it out.

I haven't seen on this site yet if they are legitimate or not, but at this rate, I'd rather have my own attorney check into it than me attempting to deal with them one on one.
PS: They also claimed to be out of Bowling Green, but I'm not sure if it's Bowling Green KY or some other state.
