debt collector USCB.

Yeah they just called my cell for a "debt collection"...I've never heard if USCB which makes me nervous.  What sort of debts are they involved in because I have no outstanding debts that I know of

USCB claims to be working with schools that you have supposedly enrolled in and have not paid. But I haven't done any of that. The list of schools they work with are schools that i have NEVER heard of! Let alone would i pay for something from them! When I checked out USCB's website...it doesn't really tell you much of anything what-so-ever! They claim to be legit, but I seriously have my doubts. And I would LOVE for any "employee" of this company to prove to me otherwise.

This call was received on my home phone and a recorded message was left by a "so called debt collector"   It's a total scam.  
The call came from 877-650-0153 and the number left for me to call back was 888 818 1428.
I hate these people.   I wish they'd quit bugging all of us.

I got a call from these people saying that they were a debt collector on my cell...they knew my name and asked that I call back if it is I and to hang up if not.....Sounds like a scam.....I have ZERO debt.....
someone is providing info on names and cell phones...HMMMM.

total scam. This is the first time ive ever received a call from that number and it being the USCB. Im 44. I graduated in 91 from college and i was on scholarship so go figure. try and collect tuition on someone that was on scholarship. Obviously they are a fraud or they threaten you and make you think you owe someone and scare you into paying. SIck society we are living in now and someone that would work for them is vial.

They left me a voice mail from this number. The voice mail was automated and stated my first and last name, and then said to "not listen to this voice mail in front of other people as it contains personal information". THEN they said they were USCB Inc., and were attempting to collect a debt from me. That's it. Really? Personal information? I know I don't have any debt. I don't even have a credit card! No medical bills, etc...Nothing! I'd really like to know what they are attempting to collect a debt for...convenient that they left that part out. This alone makes me certain it's a scam. Definitely not calling them back...but I'll give them a piece of my mind if they decide to call me again.

Also, does anyone know if USCB Corp (based in Pennsylvania...this is the one connected with the phony schools) and USCB, Inc. (based in Los Angeles) are the same company? They are both conveniently debt collection agencies and BOTH have shady reputations.

Yup! Got a call yesterday from this USCB company claiming to collect for a Lab West company. Asking me to verify birth day and month and zip code. The zip code and birth month/day did not match to what they say they had, they claim they had the wrong number (Cell#). I just happen to have an old bill from Lab west, called and there are no bills outstanding. TOTAL SCAM!!!

I was called on my unlisted cell phone number by them today, and was given the same message Adele describes above. I have no outstanding debts whatsoever, so I suspected it was fraud. I called them and they asked for my birthdate in order to retrieve "all necessary and relevant information," but when I told them I wasn't giving my personal info to a stranger unless they could tell me what this was above, they refused to tell me anything: who this supposed creditor was, etc. They claimed mail sent to me had been returned to sender, but I have been at the same address for many, many years. Complete frauds. Do your civic duty and report them to FTC and your state DA's office.

Everyone out there that's getting this phone number be careful, they have been calling my cell for months saying I have an outstanding debt, which I know is not the case, I am aware of all my transactions and they try to get personal information like everyone is saying who has any dealings with this company and I will be reporting them to the FTC.

Please file this report concerning this company calling my cell phone several times a week for the past 4 months, they do not leave the name of the company but say I have an outstanding debt, which I know is not true since I pay for a service that keeps track of my credit and would of reported such a debt to my account, which I check monthly since 2008.

I just wish they would leave an idea of who I "supposedly" owe. It would be more effective for them. I wont return 800# calls, but if they left an indication of who I am "obligated" to and I really did have a balance, I would return a call.

NOTE TO COLLECTORS: If you read these forums-----when leaving voicemails you will receive a higher response rate if you leave some information on what the debt regards to. No one is going to return a blind phone call in these scam happy identity theft days!!!!

Same thing as these posts.  I have just completed all my student loans.  I have paid all my bills, I was worried that maybe one slipped under the sofa or something.  I was just getting ready to call them because they have left multiple message, "if this is Sarah, don't listen in front of other people, blah, blah,blah".  Thank goodness I googled the number and saw all of these posts.

Harassing people these stupid bunch. Initially it used to be automated message saying "this call is for XXXX, if itis not her, then please hang up..." But now when I pick the phone a female voice actually talks. She says her name is Bethany, they are calling from USCB and that Lab west has a pending payment and has reported my name to them in this January. When I tell her I  owe nothing and askher what she sees in there, she actually gave me the name of my doctor! And then I tell her, I'd have to check withmy insurance company and the docs office. She very convincingly said I may do so and then give her a call back on the same number. Which is when I asked what their company stands for,USCB. And the drama of weak signal starts. That [***]! I gave her a piece of my mind and told them they aint getting a penny from me. But it scared the [***] outaff me that they have my tel number, DOB, and my docs office details. Gee! NOt sure what to do :(

I got a phone call this morning from this USCB inc saying they have called to collect a debt I have a deferment on and that deferment isn't up for another month. They knew my name and number, said they had personal information and to not listen near anyone. There was no personal information other then my name in the beginning of the messege voice said her name was Patty Lopez. Called the company actually handeling my debt deferments and they sounded as confused as I am. I'm not sure if its a scam or not but it sure seems fishy. I left them a messege to call me back and if they dont I'll know 100% it was a scam attempt. As of now I'm concerned what other information they have about me.

I've been getting phone calls from this number for the past week saying that I owe something for a so called West Medical something. I do not owe anything to anybody so I freaked out. First thing I did was call them back. I asked the amount "owed" by me and the lady said I first had to confirm my address and zip code. I said no and asked them to send me a written notice to the mailing address showing at her screen. She said she couldn't, at least not before I confirm my info. I hang up. Next step: as soon as I got home went straight to the free annual credit report to check if there was anything wrong with my social security. Nothing there, intact. It's a total scam!!!!!

SCAM, they call me everyday

PUZZLED!       What are they REALLY after - does anybody know the scam?  I can't figure it out and it's got me really curious now.  They call every day and leave message too, if I don't pick up or cut off.  All automated.

What are they getting out of this?  It's been going on for about 4 months now and it is a waste of their time, seems to me.  Are they maybe trying to find out what time of day we are most likely to answer the phone live?  and then sell that info with our number to other scamsters?

Possible Motive:  800notes 'Directory of UNKNOWN Callers" lures us to this website in order to expose us to their sponsor advertising?  Hmmmmmmm?
