Left message that I needed to call concerning Property I own.

Called about property we own.  Wanted us to give them money up front to sell our property before closing.  Told them no way, nobody pays commissions up front when selling real estate that we would not do it either (they claimed to have a buyer on the other line willing to pay way more than what we were asking).  After further research, looking them up on the internet, didn't find out much but this seems to be a scam on not so smart people.  Thank goodness we were smarter than the average Joe.

This is not a real estate broker as they tell you they are not, they just want you to give them money to advertise your property and pay them up front.

"Justin" (extension218) called me about some rural property I own.  Based on  
what I've read from other listings, I'm assuming this is a scam to try to "sell" my property for an up-front fee.

Received call 4-30-08 from Jessica ext 211 regarding my property in Cape Coral, FL. Looked them up the internet and got here to this place. Already received 2 other calls from two different companies, operang the same way. Upfront about $1,000 to sell your property at a high price. They don't have any buyers. They hope that after listing the property on their website, somebody would buy it. It must be the newest trend in Florida marketing scams.

This place called me and wanted to sell some land that I have in Arizona for an interested Las Vegas company. The go into great detail of how they are going to sell your land for an outrageous sum and then tell they need to collect up front fees to start the paper work going. They will charge your credit card for the fee and and based on other complaints I have read will tell you the deal fell through. It's all BS just to get your up-front fee money. It's a scam DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!! P.S. I called my credit card company and cancelled the charge.

Yes they called me today...I own 2 lots in a rural subdivison that has been undeveloped for over 40 yrs.  This guy said he had a buyer that wanted 80 lots and already have 45, and we needed my two lots and would give me 18k each.  I have done research this is a scam?  Becareful Mississippi

We got our call today.  We own two residential lots in North Port, FL.  They wanted us to give them $ 731.00 up front to sell our property.  They had three buyers who wanted 80 lots and they already had 45 solded and needed our decision immediately.  Thanks to the internet, this site and the Better Business Bureau we know better than to believe this scam.  Thanks

Lisa McDowell of United States Property Services told me they have a buyer for 120 Fairfield Glade, TN lots and have secured 94 lots so far.  They offered me $12,000 above the value of the property, although they are not a real estate broker but just a "go-between."  This sure sounds like the scam you have described.

I have a lot outside of Elko, NV. A real estate agent friend of mine contacted some agent he knows in Nevada who said he could likely get $1000 for it and it would probably not bring more than $1,700 in any case. United States Property Services told me they had a buyer who was offering me $19,900 for it. They wanted a credit card number for the $568 "fee". When anyone asks me for a credit card number over the phone, it's a "red flag" for me.

We were called yesterday and they claimed they had a buyer interested in our land in Colorado for 10 times what it is worth! First they said that it would not cost us a thing, then they said they needed $731 up front. Of course we sent nothing.

I received a call from a Mike Jancyak ,  He informed me he had a buyer for my property in Fl. All I had to do was give him $947.00 A one time thing,
He would send me the papers to sign and I would get the $947.00 back at the closing, because I was retired. He gave me Telephone numbers to call.

These scumbags called my 85 year old mother and tried to pull this scam on her.  Told her that they had a buyer for her Florida property that was willing to pay $40,000 for her lot...but she had to send them $1500 first.  They actually told her that it's Florida Law that you have to pay the realtor first.  BS!!!!!

This call came in for our property in Tennessee and wanted us to pay him $1400.00 up front, and told us that he had a development group that wanted to buy it.

Thank goodness I Googled US Properties and found all these comments before biting on its telemarketers' too good to be true offer.  I guess the old rule still applies, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.  Thanks so much to all who took the time to submit their comments/warnings.  You saved me!!!!
