My contact was not by phone but they gleaned my details from the net. Now I cannot contact them to get some redress or even get the deductions removed from my bank account

I also had an unauthorized charge on my credit card from phone number 888-840-6301 for $19.95.  Thanks to y'all for reporting your findings.

i had this unauthorized charge on my bill for 3 months. 19.95 for using some kinda intelius program

i purchased from intelius.com and the charge was only $17 and some change, and than 4 days later a charge from pmidentity.com showed up for $19.95 which i know i didnt purchase......are these two sites connected? this is such a rip off and i do not appreciate when companies just go in and charge your account.  i called the number that showed up on the statement 888-840-6301 and cancelled these unauthorized charges.

i decided to call them since they twice STOLE $19.95 out of my checking account.  They said that I agreed to an offer somehow somehwere and when I looked on here I see that I am not the only person that has been affected.  The internet can be great but it can also hurt you.

I had the same thing happen to me. Is there anything we can do other than dispute it with the bank? They said they would cancel my membership, but I want the money they stole from me.

I got similar charges since February 2008 on my credit card - $19.95/mo. I used Intellus a few days earlier. Other fraud reporting websites like this indicate that Intellus and PMIdentity.com are in league together - automatic charges if you use Intellus.

I called my credit card today - the service rep. said I must contact PMIdentity and get it resolved, if not, then call them back. PM Identity should give my credit card company the proof that I ordered this service, but I can't see it. Then my cc co will discuss again with me if accurate.

I also went to the PMIdentity website and asked for my ID and password since I haven't received any of their services. An automated email message said it will take 2 days minimum to get back to me.
I get these services from Equifax and don't need redundant services.

THEY TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT TWICE BUT TRIED 5 TIMES.

I have had $1.00 taken from my debit card two times and then $19.95 taken out once.  I am going ot my bank tomorrow and change everything.  I di not authorize this and neither did I want a membership.  Do not even know who they are.  I want my money back and want this stopped and these people are scammers put in prison..I think I know who they are they are most likely affiliated with Kevin Smith

I noticed on my bank statement that PMI had been taking out $19.95 from my checking account since February. I don't check my bank statements because I didn't have any reason to think this would happen to me. When I called PMI, i asked them how they got my credit card information and they told me that Intelius (People Search.com) was their client and when you put all your credit card info into the peoplesearch.com website, it redirects you to Intelius and that's when i signed up. I'm not a dumbass. I know i didn't sign up for this so when i asked the girl on the phone to send me a copy of the form i supposibly signed up for, she said she didn't have a copy of it and when I told her that she didn't have any proof that i had signed up for this company, she got angry and started raising her voice at me. I have decided to take this matter to the Attorney Generals Office and would like anyone to contact me if they are interested in getting their money back. This company needs to be stopped!

I finally got through at the 8888406301 number and they were evasive and shady.  I was told they would stop the fraudlent charges of 19.95 and credit me for back charges for some IDsafety stuff that they could not explain what it was and that I agreed to it when doing business once with Intellius.  I gleaned from they are Adaptive Marketing in Omaha NE and have a quite a rap sheet on the net attached to them.  I am still not sure they will actually stop charging me yet.

I also was charged a $29.95 fee from my checking accountwith nothing to show for it.  SomethingI did not order. Also continuely charge a $1.00 fee.

I WAS CHARGED 29.95 x 2 FROM MY CREDICARD AND I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR ANYTHING BUT TO CANCEL WHATEVER IT IS THAT LIED TO ME. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET A REPORT ON MY CC BUT THESE LYING DEVILS ARE LYING THEY ARE GIVING OUT FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND IF THESE GUYS DO NOT STOP I WILL GO AFTER THEM WITH LEGAL ACTIONS

I too have been charged 19.95  by both, privacymatters and pmidentity.com. This was on my sears master card. We called them and they did not remove the charges for the 19.95 each.for Febuary and charged me two pamits of 19.95 for March. We called them and they said they couldnot remove the Febuary charges. Now Ihave to wait and see if they removed Marches or not. I dont know what to do . We are old folks and dont have much income. Any ideas? I did send a email but did not get an answer.
