This same number keeps calling, it's a voice message only, telling me to enter "Order number" or my phone number.
I called back and there is no way to reach a LIVE person to find out who the heck it is!  No, I did not imput my phone number.

It's Wirefly... They provide cell phones and you can sign up with most service providers through them. I got my cell phones and service with AT&T through them. When I call them at that number I get their Customer Service Dept.

It is wirefly, I tried to order phone from T-Mobile thru them, was approved, but they want me to fax copies of my "SOCIAL SECURITY CARD AND MY DRIVERS LISCENSE". I will not send these to a company that has noone that speaks English, their calls are handled thru the Phillipian Islands.

checked on tmobile site and could have gotten the same deal thru them without all the hassle.

I'm pretty ticked off at whoever runs this number.  I rejected a call from them about 5 times and they finally got through to my voice mail and told me they had questions about my order and I didn't order anything from them.  I tried calling the number back and going to whereismyorder.com and I can't speak to a live person without entering in a 9 digit order number but I have no order number because I didn't order anything.  TOTAL SCAM!!!!

Yesterday I ordered 2 cell phones via AAA website which took me to AAA "Members On The Go" Wireless. Actually called the order in rather than completing the online form. Dialed 800 number which was rerouted to customer call center in India.  First person I spoke w/ had such a strong accent I couldn't understand him and ended up making excuse for getting off phone and called back hours later to place order. Next person had accent but was understandable and was very nice and answered all of my questions.  Helped me decide which plan I should have so a phone for my kids had the restrictions I wanted on it. Their Customer Service website is WhereIsMyOrder.com

Got an email today from WheresMyOrder.com saying Verizon needed to contact me to verify information.  Contacted Verizon to verify info (I didn't have to give out full SSN, Drivers Lic, or credit card info).  Logged into WhereisMyOrder.com and came across 800# under discussion (888-843-2485).  Used their Live Chat instead to relay the Verizon Approval number given to me.

Normally this stuff would have warning bells going off in my head, but because I ordered these through the official AAA website, I am trusting that it's legit.

That's aggravating!  Did they ask for you specifically? Maybe the customer service rep transposed a customer's phone number and was trying to reach the other person instead?

Person immediate says they arent trying to sell anything, I advised I was not interested in whatever it was and hung up. The guy called me back 8 times in 5 minutes just sitting there making obnoxious noises on the other end of the phone saying hello over and over while making these noises.

Follow up to my message....  First of all, shame on AAA for associating their brand with this company.

Provided lots of info here b/c I thought it was a good deal, but this is looking more like a scam with every passing day. Do NOT deal with AAA wireless... it has been a nightmare. First they assigned me an out of state area code even though the rep said I'd get one assigned consistent with my zip code. Now that the phones have arrived they will not activate.

AAA Wireless ("WhereIsMyOrder.com" once you place your order) says you are NOT allowed to contact your carrier to fix the activation problem or you could be assessed a $250 penalty PER Phone PLUS a $175 termination fee PER Phone by the carrier.  The only method available to contact WhereIsMyOrder is to email them. The automated response says they'll get back to me in 2 business days.  I'm waiting... will let you know what happens.

PS - I've thought about returning the phone, however there are just as many restrictions on returning and I'm starting to think that even if I return my phone they will concoct a reason why I will be penalized. Then I'll have no phone and be assessed fees. I feel like I just can't win. And it's such a shame. I was so looking forward to my new phone!

Good ending at least... I decided to return the phones after all because I was still within the 14-15 day return window (their documentation on this as well as other restrictions, was inconsistent which sent off more warning bells).

I forgot to mention in my last post here that the phones didn't activate and there were specific warnings in the papers included with the phones that I was not allowed to call Verizon directly if there was a problem with the activation. I had to contact them or could potentially be in violation of one of their rules and end up having to pay the fine of $250 per phone (another discrepancy - online and paperwork quoted fines of $200-250 per phone). That was the last straw, not being able to contact my carrier if there's a problem with the activation.

I returned everything to this shady phone company, coordinated w/ Verizon who was awesome by the way, and made sure I documented the tracking number of the return shipment. I was credited back with my full amount of phone/accessory purchase 4 days later.

I had to lace a couple calls to my carrier, Verizon, to explain what happened and why I was cancelling my service. All the customer service people were wonderful to work with and made sure I didn't have to pay anything (I was still within their 30 day no hassle guarantee).

I am so glad to be done with it!  Never again - now I'm heading to a Verizon store directly where I know I will walk out with a working activated phone and no threats of fines!!

Thanks for providing details about your experience. I was ordering a phone through an E-trade offer and received an e-mail from whereismyorder.com asking me to call 888-843-2485. I write this post so people know that it is not just through AAA these people operate but also other companies.

That is the Wirefly company!!! A carrier name Kelly (626-802-5971) franud me to update my at&t plan and agreed to give me the free phones.  However, the first months of my at&t bill was more than $400.  I called at&t, and someone told me that amount was the data usage.  At the beginning, Kelly told me that I didn't need to pay the data usage, that was why I use the internet from my phone.  When I called Kelly, she promised she would help me to resolve my problem, but she did nothing at the end.  One month later, I was charged for the phones.  I called Kelly again, she said, "don't worry, you will credit back soon, just wait."  So I wait two months, I didn't get my credit back.  I called Kelly, she said she would ask the Wirefly billing department to call me back.  Of course, no response.  So I called Wirefly's number, and I was told that the return period was expired, and the phones were not free, and they would not credit me back.  When I called Kelly, she will not answer my phone anymore.  And becareful, they have your SSN, so they will change your plan anytime without your authorization.  She called at&t to cancel my data plan, so I had to pay $170 on the next month.  Oh my God!  I think that the carrier is the illegor company, becasue they are afraid to release their information: they will give you a fade company name and address.  I filed a compain to FCC, I wish they would do somthing.  Anyway, don't trust the Wirefly anymore, they just want to cheat you to pay a lot of money....I was so stupid that I had trusted them...what the hell...

I got two calls from 888-843-2485 tonight...  1st one was no message.. Decided to answer the 2nd. Some Indian sounding woman trying to speak English, talking about an order that wasn't able to be processed without a 9 digit ID number.

I told her to put an English-speaking person on the phone. She got irritated when I asked repeatedly for someone that spoke english and finally hung up.

I have no pending orders with any phone companies. This has to be a SCAM !!!

Oh wow!  I read this and my heart skipped a beat.  This is almost the EXACT same thing that happened to me!  Except I went through ACN Wireless, and the carrier was T-Mobile.  Everything seems to be working out.  My contract with T-Mobile through ACN is canceled.  I have a new # and new phone DIRECTLY through T-Mobile.  I got a tracking number from ACN (from their customer service number on their website, not this 888-843-2485 / Whereismyorder.com crap).  I'm sending the phone back tomorrow morning.  I'm sending it UPS so I can have a tracking number that I trust, and they can't say, 'Oh we didn't get it'.

I also started to get a phone through wirefly I decided not to when they said I needed a $3000 deposit.  I talked to someone online and they tried to talk me into another company.  I told them no.  I went to another website and went directly to the company and ordered service.  The next day wirefly called me 5 times in a roll. I ignored the call and on the 5th one I answered and then hung up.
