Calls at least a couple of times a week and says "this is not a sales call". Finally got a person and he said it's OSI Collections. They are trying to get me to pay some bill I don't remember having.

Calls here constantly. I answer it and there is no one there. If I call it back, like today, some woman started talking to me like a dog and telling me that she did not call my number and I need to learn how to use the caller id on my phone because she did not call me.  That number and 1-888-850-6426 is on my caller id countless times.

I keep getting a recording when this number calls. "This is not a sales call..." and they tell me 3 or 4 times I need to call them back in reference to branch 56. I have gotten other similar recorded calls telling me to protect my credit I need to call another number back (I need to write down that number too). I'm not going to do that. I believe it's a scam. If I really owe someone money, they'll send me a bill or have a legitimate person call me.

I'm getting constant calls from this number and they don't ever leave a real message concerning me.  They say "please call for your important message and ask for branch 49".  After reading these posts I am a bit worried to call them back.  Has anybody had a legitimate call from these people?

they called me to,so I give the phone to my 1 1/2 years old,and my 1 1/2 year old LOVES to talk baby talk!! LOLOLOL.  they haven't called back in awhile. lololol

7 years ago when i moved to this area, bellsouth gave me a deadbeats phone number for 7 years i have been harrassed by collection agencies looking for james lichtleiter, debra jonson and today anew one bradford jonson. this has been most unpleasant to me since i operate in the black!! if i do not call back they continue to leave automated messages telling they will help me with an important business matter; when i do call back they think i am or am hiding these people. once they left a message using JEWELRY and EMERGENCY in the same sentence!!  bell south has offered to change my number to the devil i don't know...no thanks.  800 234 3550 is the one i'm getting now...for awhile my answering machine message said "no d jonson, no james lichtleiter at this number" didn't help with the automated messages and my friends thought i was nuts> if i ever run into james lichtleiter i'm goning to punch him square in the face. his actual number is unlisted!!go figure....so i just put myself on the - donotcall list, i hope it helps cause i've had it. although since i've been reading the complaints against OSI collections, i have to wonder if they really are deadbeats??!! that feels better

Also received a vmx asking me to call them... I do not plan to return their call and will check my credit report immediately.

i received a call from them too and i didnt answer. they left me a message telling me to call them in reference to branch 49.  i just got this phone and phone number less than a week ago and i have only given it out to close friends and no companies.  it has to be scam.

I got this phone call and I wil get it again and I don't know where it comes from.

I received a call from 888-850-6427 0n 03/13/08 at 1:14 pm.  The caller ask that I return the call and ask for
branch 56. When I ask for branch 56 I was asked to punch in my bank acount number and the last four of my SSN. I ask with whom I was speaking and was told the OSI. I ask
"who are you?" The male voice answered in a smart way that
they were a collection and obviously I owed some money which they were going to report to the credit bureaus if I failed to pay right away. I asked to whom the debts were
owed and he ask that I hold while he check it out and asked for my personal information. I admonished him not to call again and he said he would call again whenever he
wanted to. I hung up the phone. I will now report the incident to the BBB and the State Attorney General.

I was home sick one day when the calls began at 8:30a.m.  Someone from this number continued to call NINE more times between 8:30a.m. and 7p.m., at which point I answered the phone.  There was no one on the line.  Half an hour later, I got another call from this number and an automated message telling me that it wasn't a sales call and to call "1.888.850.6427 and refer to Branch 56." I waited until 11p.m. to call the number and received an automated message stating that "OSI offices are now closed.  Please leave your name and number and someone will return your call during regular business hours."(...like they know when those hours are.)

Having gone down the debt road in my youth, I pay everything off monthly, but still these calls from O.S.I.  How to get to them:

I sent a letter, certified mail to one of their OH addresses, after checking my credit report and finding a "created" bill. The letter was returned "no such address".

The "bill" I "owe" is to a company that DOESN'T EXIST. But it will stay on my credit report until I can prove otherwise. I have NEVER received a bill, EVER from the company listed!!

SCAM!

Just received an automated call saying it was in reference to a debt I owe.I just sold my home and am debt free .If this was legitamit why wouldn't a real person be on the other end, seems fishy to me, even more so after reading everyones comments here.I think I will also contact the BBB and States Attorney Generals office.I smell scam !!!
