Another IRS scam call. Automated, stating they are going to freeze my assets.

Got a voice mail claiming to be the IRS, very heavy Indian accent, told me to call right away regarding a form I sent, which I have not sent any forms to the IRS!

One of the lamest phishing calls of all time. Supposedly from the IRS--it did make me laugh it was so badly done.

Got 3 calls from this number in less then a minute. I answered it twice and no one was there either time. I hung up and they called right back. I didn't answer it the 3rd time and they didn't leave a message. I have now blocked the number.

New fake IRS scam: freeze you assets! Called 4 times today. I finally got fed up and actually pressed one - told the guy off and he finally hung up. As much as I thought it was funny, so did he ... tells you how evil these people are!

Called and said they were going to freeze my bank account from the IRS. Indian accent......

Just got a call from supposedly the IRS stating that they were going to freeze my assets.  Very heavy Indian accent.  I called them back and they hung up on me!  LOL!  Another scam!

Bogus IRS threat

total scam. Told me I had to pay $500 or I will face jail time for defrauding the IRS. Got me all upset and made me cry, could hear my kids in the background and told me he wasn't the bad guy...this is between me and the IRS

I just got a call from this number 888-585-4014. I woman calling me and leaving a message saying that it is from the IRS. I needed to call right away. So I did. In this conversation she stated her name to be Jenny Cooper #43821 from the audit dept. IRS, even though she sounded Hindu, and that I had a case of unpaid income tax, it was filed wrong. They had a strong evidence of negligence, chapter 13 and chapter 37C, violence of federal tax violation and after that I just couldn't anymore. So after a 3 hour call, and trying to ask her to put on the phone someone that I could understand, because her English was horrible, by the way she got upset, but it was true. She wanted to resolve this matter by me paying the amount of $2486.92. She was trying to resolve this matter by me paying on the phone the complete amount. Unfortunately they don't do installments. I told her I don't have that money she said, how about a credit card or a friend. She said she would wait on the phone that the call could not be hung up. So I said "well you would wait 2-3 maybe 5 hours on the phone for me to get this money?" She said yes...persistent hah? After asking her and another person called Shawn Miller, senior officer #BS6943, also had an accent; less kinda British maybe. I kept on asking what was their manager's name. They said they could not give it to me. I said any AMERICAN institution especially the IRS would give me that information! I insisted so much she got pissed off at me and said you are not cooperating with us so I will file this case with the court in 2-3 hours. I said "I thought you said you did hat already?" She hung up and have not received another call. Please be aware of these kinda calls, and don't give any information to anyone. Inform your self, that's your best weapon!

Had the same call, I reported it to the police

2nd automated call on my cell from "IRS" saying my assists and bank accounts will be seized. Two different numbers a week apart. Press one to speak with agent. First time I hung up, second time I pressed 1 . Another automated voice (female) says she is connecting me with a poll taker.? Then says goodbye and hangs up. Not asking for money, so I'm not sure HOW this scam works.

Yes, same here.  How can we stop this people.  They are so bold not even afraid even though you tell them you will call the police.

Try a call blocker, blocking the number, or shut down your answering machine and let the phone ring for starters. Why be scared when  you're on the other side of the world?

Left an automated message stating they are the IRS and a Bill Collection Officer would be calling back to fill out paperwork.

Some guy calls claiming to be from the IRS. He said they are filing a lawsuit against me and all my assets would be seized. I told him I could not understand him and wanted to talk to his supervisor because his accent was so thick. He said he had no supervisor. So then he says he'll find someone else to talk to me and then hangs up.

I got three calls from 888-858-4014 stating that it was the IRS and I needed to call back cause I was being audited.  Called back and this guy with such a heavy Indian accent that I had to ask for another operator. They said I was being audited for fraud and they were going to seize all my assets.
