received a call from this number stated I need to return call before 11/21/12 or my assests will be garnished.

I got a called from the same number, they refered my case was going to be sent to a county (this county is not my county). This people are known as Scam-Debt-Collectors and everything they say is just fake stuff. Some how or another they gain information about people credit history and use it against you but don't fall for this.
Anything that is legit and legal you will get a certified letter over the mail just to prove that you received the documents, also true legal places will leave a detail voice mail providing place they represent, their title, ID and with a case document and also best of all they will call your from a true phone number or at least if you reverse that number it will point to the business. Check that company on the BBB.gov site.

DON'T ISSUE FINANCIAL INFORMATION also just talk calm with them and advise them that you will sue them since they are breaking the law.

I got a call on 12/5/12 saying i had a legal issue and a Afa Davit had been signed <ok> not stateing what the debt was for no letter of nothing this is not how you collect a past due debt also had a court summons that was going to mt local sheriff if i dont voluntar. afd are a bunch of crooks dont give them anything or pay anything if i had a letter might pay but since they are going about it the wrong way game on.

Having been arrested many times before, i know this is NOT the process that the sheriff will use to issue a warrant. Please do not fall for this scam. Man can't hold me down for nothing.

I received a call form this number and he said I needed to call to avoid filing papers with the courts due to a civil judgement. His x is 171

I haven't actually spoken with this person, but they call my office frequently (I tell the receptionist to take a message)

Sometimes they will leave a message on my cell phone saying that it is urgent that I return their call by 5pm on a specific date, but they never say in the message what exactly the call is concerning. The extension that was left with my receptionist today is X188

I have tried having this number blocked from calling my cell phone but they keep calling with different 1-800 numbers
