I got a call from this 888 number and I called back. I was being sued for a credit I used from Circuit City just before they went belly up. I used $5647.00 and only paid $2341.00 back. I thought since they are going out of business I could get away like most Americans do most of the time...so it turned out that a group of investors owned this debt and instead of going to court and wasting time I settled voluntarily out of court and paid less still than what I owed and it went on my CBR as paid in full legally. Thanks for calling me or I would be paying court cost and attorney fees as well..

Get the companies name and fax number.... request in writing that they cease and desist all phone calls.  You dont have to give them a reason just request it.  They will no longer be able to call you per the fair debt collections act.  That's why we have this law so collectors cant harrass anyone even the debtor. You do have rights and they are hoping you dont know about them... so get informed.

Someone from this number left a message for me about a Summons to Appear in Court that is supposed to be delivered to my house today. I haven't been able to find a full-time job in over 3 years. I am getting sick of harassing phone calls. Do we as unemployed citizens with no benefits have any rights??

Yeah, right. You know, it isn't cool coming on here trying to convince people that it's a good idea to do this. I don't believe it for a second. What are you, a debt collector? Once of the investors? Shame on you. You are probably just a no good, lousy debt collector. "Mrs. Henson" my ass.

We get calls like this on a daily basis trying to track down our employees. Got a call from this number this morning, stating they needed to serve one of our employees, had attempted to serve him at home twice previously, etc. SO tired of these idiots. Especially when they pose as police officers, attorneys, sheriffs. The first thing I do is google the phone number and I find out exactly who these scam artists are. We even had one guy with a thick indian accent call, claiming to be "Officer Mike Jones", insisting we give him an employee's phone number. My manager refused and hung up on the man. About 30 minutes later, he called back, but this time he was "Officer Tim Johnson". My manager lit into his ass! I don't know how they get away with impersonating law enforcement. How is that legal?? Needless to say, we never relay the messages they leave to our employees. I wanna laugh at their intimidation tactics. They try to sound all tough and hard and mean when they say they are from some attorney office. Like I'm gonna be impressed by that. They can all piss up a rope, for all I care!

I kept getting a message to call this number...so today I called because I didn't want them bothering me any more. Im glad I called they told me I was going to court for an unpaid bill, to my surprise they told me I could settle out of court for less than what I owed. It is so much easier than going to court and paying an attorney. They really tired to help me out, so I didn't have to go to court. I got a letter from them the same day stating our agreement and after i pay it will be put on my credit report as paid.
