It is illegal for them to leave you that type of message. Save the message this person left you and transfer it to a cassette tape. If you happen to speak to this person (do not give them any of your personal information or dispute with them), ask them for their Process Server License and what county, state they are registered in. If they refuse, tell them you will not give any information without their license number. Contact the attorney general's office of the state you live in and let them know the type of message that was left on your vmail. Sent the recorded vmail certified mail to the Attorney General's Office (transcripe it as well, word per word) and enclose transcript with the cassette recording. The more information we can provide the Attorney General's Office with the better. We might not be able to locate these people but I bet the Attorney General's Office should be able to.

I ran into this problem with Rosenthal Stein &  Associates. I saved every single vmail they left (message similar to the one you received) and transferred all the vmails to a cassette. I sent the cassette and transcript (word per word) to the Attorney General's Office and the FTC. Needles to say, once Rosenthal Stein & Associates received a copy of the letter I sent to the AGO and FTC (I did not send RS&A a copy of vmails, only the letter) they send me an apology letter saying they had terminated the person who left these illegal messages on my cell and the other employee had been suspened. They closed my case.

A woman said her name was Gwen Morris and that she was retained by the state and serving court documents (what state?) and that if I didn't call them back in 2 hours they would be adding another charge and coming to pick me up from my employment or residence.

A woman said her name was Grace Neil and that she was retained by the state and serving court documents  and that if I didn't call them back in 2 hours they would be showing up at my home or place of employment for fraudulant checks. They gave a case number and said that if i did not call back I would be charged with a failure to appear in court. I have never had a fraudulant check and have never been sent anything in writing. Pretty sure this is an ILLEGAL scare tactic!

Left me a message saying they are looking for my husband.  If he doesn't call within 2 hours they will be serving him at our home with court documents, saying that he is defrauding a financial institution. If he is not home they will show up at his place of employment.  Never said what state they were from or anything.  Just said her name was Katie Ellsworth (I think) and she is a process server from our city. Never referenced the company just that they were plaintif.

Just received call from a Tonya stating she is from the state and I have 24 hours to respond or my day in court will be coming.  She also called a family relative of mine and said there is an arrest warrant out for me.  I called the local authorites and no such thing exists.

Call my son 75 year old grandmother, telling her that they were going to Service him with court paper tommorrow.  I called 405-708-7535 and spoke with Angela Yelder, who wouldn't give the address of the company.  I just wanted address to give to my son. They asked my son for his debit card number, to pay a old bill from 2003.  Doesn't the Statute of limitation expire after 5 - 7 Years, if nothing has been paid on the bill.

This company also uses the number of 1-888-884-1822.

Don't pay them a cent or give them any bank account information. If she is not willing to give you information, please report them to the Attorney General's office and the FTC.
