Wanted me to be part of a webinar. Hung up on them.

The recording said they were calling with important information regarding a webinar for United American Insurance Company. They give you a choice of 2 prompts - #1 to stay on the line to get an appointment for the webinar, or #9 to be removed from the list. Since when is it OK to call someone on the Do Not Call List and bother them and make them listen to a recording in order to get an option to opt out? I selected prompt 1 in order to get a live person so I could give them a piece of mind for interrupting my day with this crap when we are ALREADY ON the Do Not Call List.

When the lady finally answered, I told her I was on the Do Not Call list, and she asked for my name and address so she could remove it. I told her I was not about to give her my name or my address- she said she was just an answering service and would have to relay the information- so I gave her my phone number and nothing else. She repeated the phone number then hung up.

Sounds like a total scam.  Hang up.  Don't bother with the Do No Call List, it works about as well as all the rest of the Government Programs.  Waste of Tax Money.
