TJ - 20 May 2007I received a phone call from the 888-888-8888 number, they told me that they are calling from the "Unified Services" and asked for someone named "Bourab" seemed like a weird name to me. I asked "Where did you get this number?" Immediatly they hanged up.

Y_M_W_M4ST3RM1ND - 6 Jun 2007I also recieved this call from this same number and a chinese"or so they said" they knew myname as well they also said that my girlfriend gave them my number. The subject on the other end of the line started out speaking a foreign language then when i started cussing them out they spok english. The most info that i have gathered at this poin is that someone is using a website to bypass the caller id feature and these websites allow you to put in the number and the name that you want to show up on the id.

Kit - 23 May 2007They called me today, and yesterday from a diffrent number. They said I won a $1000 shoping spree, and I told them I was not intrested. I also told them to take me off their calling list, and they refused. When they called back today they told me they could not take me off their calling list, and for them to do so, I would have to PAY THEM $1.95 for either being taken off their list, or shipping for this package. I am just wating for their call tomarow...

flash - 14 Sep 2007i had a person from the same number call and tell me the same crap he sounded like he was from india thats why i googled the number im sure this is a scam ....now they call me every day and they dont say anything but i can hear people in the back round i think next time they call me i will try to talk to them to see what type of scam they are running

Bv - 24 May 2007Got 3 calls from this #, the first time I asked if they would remove me from their calling list and hung up, the second time I told them that I was going to report them if they did not stop calling me and then today they called, the same guy that has called all along, I asked to speak to the manager and he told me to go to Hell!! Who are these people? I think it is a little strange. Seems that there may be a scam going on if he is getting away with the foul language.

Luckily I'm a very sound sleeper and they did not wake me but what the he!!? I tried to call the number back and got a recording that I was unable to because it was outside my area. Too bad. I'd love to find these jerks and have them meet my friend from Louisville...the Louisville Slugger.

pl - 25 May 2007I did not answer. Called my home phone first, then immediately called my cell number. Weird. Didn't answer either. Called back from cell, outside my area. Called house phone, busy. Glad to know it's not just me. Can this be stopped?

BJ - 26 May 2007Thye called me 3 times, once at 4:13AM. Caller ID says "Alliance Carpet" as well. No message. What so the point of calling if they hang up on you and leave no message. Probably phishing for modems/Computer Fax Modems and other ways into your sytems.
Many Caller services (like Skype) allow you to mask your ID or use aliases. This probably is not their actual number.

Rachel - 27 May 2007I have been getting these calls also on my cell phone. They don't call in the middle of the night but they do call several times a day. Just a few minutes ago they left a vc mail and it was nothing but alot of people talking in the back ground. Could make out what they were saying. I then tried to call it back and it wouldn't go through. Kept saying call failed. Who are these people and why are they doing this? This is really annoying and there hasn't to be a way to stop them.

Last night I picked it up and a female in a foreign sounding voice said something I could not understand and then hung up on me. I worried that I might trigger one of those $2400 charges from some Caribbean island, I didn't call her back to tell her to STOP CALLING ME!!
