Once I pick up the phone there is ringing but no one picks up on the other end. I have had my answering service record the same message.

I have been getting the same call about 3to4 times a week, the last
4 months. same thing, phone rings, nobody at the other end, and
my answering machine also records the same message.
*Nobody can take your call right now, leave your name, phone
number , the reason of your call.

Keeps calling. Nobody anwers. Leave message on answering machine

Last 6 to 7 weeks - they keep calling, different hours of the day. Today it was 7am. No idea who it is - when you call back all you get is the answering machine?????

A further search reveals this number to be related to Collectcorp, CIBC's preferred collection agency for student debt.  They are well known for their negative tactics, and the rep I have had most to do with, Ms Bowen-Edwards, has on occasion lied to me outright until I mentioned calling the Ombudsman to report her.  
These people seen to delight in abusing the power awarded them by CIBC, and even CIBC likes to try to distance themselves from the agency while still relying on them.  Collectcorp staff, especially Ms Edwards, are awful, being rude and nasty, disregarding payments made, and so on.  They have even been continuing with harrassing calls way over the legal weekly limit (2 calls, I think) after a payment is made, supposedly because I did not call to ask them to remove my number from their automated system.=
IF you google Ms Edwards, you will find she has a rather fiendish history recorded online; imagine how many other victims don't report.  She simply gets off on yanking chains as hard as she can get away with.  She will mislead you, lie to you, do her best to scare you.  KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and stick to them.  
Worst of all, my call blocker declines to include this number on my list.  I will keep trying to block them.

Thanks for the heads up..  I received a call from them at 7:00am, but refrained from answering.  The # on the ID was: 888-890-9074, and no voice message was left.

actually collectcorp works for most of the banks in canada. including TD, CIBC, Scotia and RBC. They not only collect student loan debt, but also overdraft debt.

the laws in ontario are 3 times in a 7 days period. you basicly have no rights when it comes to collections in Ontario. Keep in mind, if they are threatening you with legal proceedings, or any other type of threat, you can report them. will outline all the details you need in order to be sure that a collection agency is staying within the laws and regulations regarding collections.
honestly, if you don't feel you owe then dispute it in writting. They cannot contact you once you have done so. That is until your dispute is accepted or not. Good Luck!

they called here today and no one answered then after about 30 seconds it started ringing and tod me this is an important message from td canada trust pease call 1-888(forgot the rest) then hung up.

Calls all the time. 7 days a week(even Sunday), 7am-12am!!!, never anyone on other end, never leaves msg. Don't have acts with any banks mentioned. definatly no student loans(over 55 yrs old!!!), Can't block or get responce when I call #.
Getting really ticked off.
Seems no way to stop calls. If anyone knows how please let me know??

Rings my smart ring number,(HAS MY FAX ON IT)It happens 7 days a week at all different times.I tried answering but no one is there.Big pain, how can you stop these annoying calls?

I am getting these calls and it is not for me it is for the former resident of my address

I picked up a call from 1-888-890-9074.  It is a recorded message and if you listen to the message long enough it will tell you that you need to call another number which is 1-877-766-7696. I called the 1-877-766-7696 and it was for the TD Canada Trust Recovery Center, meaning overdue account/collections.

I just called back to the # that was left in the message and it goes to Bell Canada

Keeps calling me 7 days a week, yes even on sundays!  Keeps telling me the message is for someone that does not live here (Arfature) and to call a 800 # and quoate a # in the message, now just as of yesterday it leaves nothing by a busy signal, how can I stop this bs!

Also it states at the begining of the message that h=who is call is not a telemarketer.

i called this call today. rings and then no answer and some busy tone ...
i have had no dealings with TD, or other banks, and no student loans!
wonder if they just call ppl for fun..

Hello, this is an important message for Clifford,  would Clifford please call(#), this is not a telemarketing call, would Clifford please call...  This message has been bothering us for over a year, there is no Clifford in our household and never has been.
