On June 8 , 2015, I inadvertently answered when I misread the number. CID showed "Unavailable," but I didn't notice in time.  It was a political call for Ben Carson for President, including a recorded message from Carson, followed by a request for a donation of $100 or $200.  End of conversation.  This is at least the third number linked to Carson's campaign, the others being 866-631-9885 and 855-696-2074.  13 or 14 calls from the Carson campaign in the past month.  (Yes, I log almost all calls from numbers I don't know.)

If Ben Carson is such a good guy, why is he allowing Robocalls using his name to solicit campaign donations?

Unavailable on ID box, they call twice a day sometimes, it is Ben Carson robo-call seeking campaign donations...totally classless.

This number has called three times in the past three days at different times, and several times before that. Never leaves a message. CLID says "800 Service", which to me means "telemarketer or someone else I don't want to talk to".

I never answer the phone unless the caller is one I know AND want to talk to. If you've never called me before, leave a message and (maybe) I'll answer next time or call you back. I have no interest in talking to a dozen telemarketers, scammers, and "polls" every day.

Great info..........thank you. Had about 12 calls from this number and have now blocked it. Normally if I don't recognize the number I flip it on FAX and they get the high pitched noises for a minute or two until they hang up.

Since it's political, it's not covered by the Do Not Call list, but they make it painless to be removed.  Just call the number back and press "3" for their DNC service.  Then enter your 10-digit number and then press "1" to confirm.  Have to admit it was probably the most pleasant of these types of calls I've gotten.

Never call back or press the number to be removed. According to Consumerist and other sources, that will either simply end the call, or put you on an additional spam caller list since you have verified you are an active phone number. The best thing to do with robocalls is to hang up immediately. Try to then block the number (your phone might have a blocker, phone service companies like Verizon make it pretty simple to block numbers through their app, or they have call block devices).

Caller ID said toll free call. Right after I answered the caller started in with
his spiel.....something about Dr. Ben Carson. I tried to interrupt  several  times
but the spiel continued anyway so I gather it may have been a robo call.
However, when I stated that "this call is bring recordred" the person or
    machine hung up.

This number called about  9:45 a.m. and started talking immediately. I tried several times to interrupt,
but there was no response which leads me to believe it was a robo POLITICAL call. They were obviously
campaigning for Dr. Ben Carson. After about 1 minute of this I hung up.

This and several other toll free numbers call frequently from various political campaigns.

    1. Isn't it swell how our stupid representatives in Congress exempt political calls from the DNC list? Who's interests are they serving anyway?

    2. Would anybody give to an organization that harrasses you constantly?

    3. Would you ever give your credit card number to some robo-caller outfit?

    4. If you ever give to one of these fools they will sell your phone number and you will never have peace at home again!

    5. Our policy is simple - we never respond to any unsolicited call for any reason. Period. Absolutely Zero tolerance.
