The caller wanted to inform me that I had been selected to win airline tickets or some such nonsense and that if I came to some conference they had going on, I would recieve free travel opportunities. Looked up the company ("Southern Journeys"), and found lots of experiences about high-pressure salespeople and timeshares. Blocked!

A asian lady called asking if my parents were a married couple or smething like that. She said we qualified for airline tickets to hawaii, or las vegas. She said that she would call tomorrow to ask if we were interested in sigining up. It seemed a little fake to me at first, but it dosn't seem fake to me after the call was done because i asked questions about her and her name and who she works for.

Called at 10:45 PM yesterday.  No id so didn't answer and no voicemail left.  Became angry and called number.  Answered by someone with strong accent, possibly Indian.  Told her I failed to understand a call at 10:45 at night and she responded they were in California(???).  Said I didn't care where they were - I was in Houston and don't want calls after 9:00.  She then hung up on me.  So helpful.  How can we get rid of these folks???

Lady, 2:30 PM, Pacific time.  Said her name, that she was calling from  "----------- Vaccinations."  I told her I don't believe in vaccinations, thanked her, and hung up.  I didn't catch the company name.

These idiots call me up and I didn't answer my cell because I was fishing. It went to my Voice mail and they left no msg. A short time later they call back again, and I answered my cell but said nothing. I could hear voices in the background and then someone asked for me by my first and last name, and I just asked who was calling without confirming my name to them. They then asked if I had a 20xx Mazda x car and said they were from some warranty dept whatever, and I then  asked them why they were calling me back again - to which the jerk on the phone said that it was the first time he called and that he never called me from their # 315-368-0184, to which I told him he was a liar and not to ever call my private # again or he will be fined $25,000 and then some. I also used some colorful 4-letter words to him to make it clear and then I hung up. I know at this point that it was the [***] at Mazda Capital Services and/or Chase Bank (their lender btw) that is selling my private info, and I'm not very happy with them at all. So much so that I refinanced my Mazda through my Credit Union at a very nice 1.73% used car rate that they recently offered me. Now if I get anymore calls from any warranty dept other than the one that is carrying my extended car warranty they will get an immediate piece of my mind in the form of 4 letter words and a hangup!! My Credit Union never sells any acct private info, and I've been a member there for over 30 years. I also think those jerks at 315-368-0184 are now giving or selling my phone # to other bogus scammers, as I just got another call today from some illiterates at 888-906-1156 trying to sell me something, and I couldn't even understand the jerk - as he sounded like he was from India. Go figure!

    I Hate Telemarketers
I got a call from this number last night at 11:30 PM.

To Frank, who posted on 03/07/15.  Thank you - your story was detailed, and very informative.  No matter how many Opt-Outs we fill out and mail in, or how many calls we block, you validated what I've been saying all along.  Banks do indeed sell their customer's information, in violation of all of those Opt-Outs, to their "partners" or "affiliates" and this is at least part of the reason why these annoying calls keep coming.

I use one phone number for contact, which is a remote virtual office.  People call on the "office line" and get forwarded to the landline in the house.  Only close family gets the actual landline in the house.  The virtual office is invaluable for blocking tons of different numbers and combinations of numbers.  I can even block a complete area code of numbers.  I highly recommend using something like this because my own list of blocked numbers and area codes is many pages long.

When a number is blocked, the telemarketer scumbags get the most important message of all:  Disconnected Number.  The caller ID gets recorded, and I receive an email telling me who or which number tried to get through.  I have had instances where robocalls have tried to call repeatedly, one after another, as many as six or seven times in a row from the same number.  The virtual office records all of these, and sends me an email each time an attempt is made.  I welcome the emails, because it shows me who got trapped or rejected.

To eliminate telemarketing calls, you have to be aggressive and have a battle plan, because they don't give up.  You also have to understand the nature of the beast, which is a relentless piece of crap that will call you as often as you let them.

If anyone would like a referral, the virtual office I use is at www.reachme.com.  This is NOT a plug for someone's business.  True, you can use your own Call Blocking features, probably for less money but a virtual office gives you unlimited numbers to block and a wide variety of outgoing messages to use when the scumbags call you.

    Happiness is Warm Gun
10:45pm EST, 27 MAY. Just got off the phone with them,

Asian lady about some special promotion to Vegas or a few other cities. Asked my age. I was going to give her the history of Batman, said I was only 18 but had lots of money and parents were dead. She said promotion only available for 25 and up. I tried to keep her on the line, but she hanged up.

Received a call from this number just now Friday 06/05/15 6:51 pm
I normally never pick up these calls but did today.
I said Hello? And this lady seemed almost shocked and excited that I picked up.
She kept saying "Helloooo" multiple times with a very faked "happy" voice as if I just won a contest or so, then finally said she was calling from Global Vavations? or something like that which I just responded I don't have that, thank you, and hung up... she never called back or anything.
