Partial message directing to press "9" to be connected to a client representative to find out the nature of the complaint. Automated recording that started before my machine answered. Possible scam.

They answer phone by saying "mediation".  They asked for my name and asked me to identify my ss # and they DID have my correct ss # which bothers me.  They threatened me with legal action over an old debt that is WAY past statute of limitations and gave me a cause number.  Threat of legal action against debts with no activity in over 4 years is illegal under Texas and Federal law.  I would like to see these people prosecuted.

I was contacted by this # stating they were BCM Mediations calling on a credit card i owed. They said I had to pay $2000.00 now or they would get a Judgment for $5600.00 and place a lien on my home & garnish my wages. They refused to supply any supporting docs ( i never had a credit card with that bank ). They then said i could pay $1275.00 and " be done with this". They ( female named Rachael ) said they would give me an hour to pay this or they would proceed. Complete Scam!  although they had my full SS# and the name of a Bank I banked with 22 years ago. They also called from 480-376-8952 ( which is  a mobile phone ) and from 888-958-5738. All these #s are associated with scammers. Per the FDCPA they have 5 days to show you proof of info and then you have 30 days to dispute. Placed alert on Credit Bureaus asap.

I was contacted by "Patricia" about paying a very old debt that they say went into collections in April 2007. They said that they were collecting on behalf of Chase Manhattan Bank and I had to pay $1,300 right now or BMS would file a lawsuit against me in county court. They said they would file a lien on my home, garnish my wages. They told me it would ruin my excellent credit score (which they said was 720, but I know it's not above 700 right now).

Patricia nor "John Stuart" (lol) would not verify my information, they said they would use the recordings of the phone calls in court against me. They continually cut me off, YELLED at me, and were extremely aggressive, would not give me their address or the legal company name. It had to be settled now, not in an hour or tomorrow, or they would sue.

Most disturbing, they had my correct social security number, full name and a former address.

This number is linked to two other numbers 406-530-8348 and 412-802-2971.  Since I have read the posts about these numbers I am blocking them and not calling them back!  I will report them all to the FTC.  Collectors don't leave these types of messages, they never say they have a claim, blah blah!

Yes, same deal, knew my social, threatened with legal action, even gave me a court date. Will call my local and county police department's tomorrow, and probably the news channels, warn of a new scam. 😬😤

I received a call referencing my prior name before my 2nd marriage. I have not legally used that name for 24 years! Said there was a complaint with my name previous name attached to it. Call back the 888-908-2753 number and my reference number is my current cell #! What?

Just got a message regarding a complaint against me and it was urgent I call them back immediately. They left a case #, but when I called back, it went to a voicemail. I'm not leaving a message there. This is definitely a scam!!

Received a message from this number. Same message as the above. Anyway, I tried tracking the number and came up with this. If this is true, this is a mobile number in India. I have no debts in India. Never been there. Also no one could file a complaint cause I've never been there. Stupid people.

Same company calling over and over from different numbers . I've already filed a FCC complaint against them. Do not pay attention to these calls. I've been yelled at , cursed at , threatened, etc - and they refuse to provide any real information.

this number is also attached to 702-779-3544 Mtcharletn left an automated VM saying a complaint was filed against  me and to call 888-908-2753 had my maiden name and a claim number. When I called the 888 number they answered mediation and I hung up sounds like a scam over old debt. Blocked number!

This scam has been leaving the same harassing messages on both my personal mobile phone and 2 of my business lines.
If I dare to respond and use the "complaint number' they just keep me on hold forever. As have read here - I agree with the others....  SCAM   I supplest we al report this annoyance to the FTC government agency

This number comes across on my cell as 401-326-4936 and says WESTERLY, but has a number in voice mail to call back regarding complaint.  That number is the 888-908-2753.  I have not returned the call.

I received a called from this company on a debt that was over 10 years old.  I called my local Attorney General and they said it was a scam

Received a couple of calls from this number on my magic jack they leave a message about a complaint and request I call back.  Since I haven't answered the phone I don't even know if its me they are looking for as they don't ask for me by name it's a robot call.  Appreciate the heads up from all of the people who have posted here.  I'll just continue to allow it to go to voice mail and they'll waste their time,  that will give someone a break.

So, the number that the supposed beneficial mediation called me from was 888-973-2946.  Same thing, said there was a complaint against me, when asking who I was speaking to, well, actually demanding who I was speaking with, he hung up on me.  I tried to call  back twice went straight to hold with music playing.  I am trying to figure out how to report this??

I had the same thing happen, yesterday July 8, 2015. The first call was a robo call, I pressed 9 and told them that I knew this was a scam and that I would report the number to the CA Consumer Fraud Bureau (I just made that up) and the lady on the other end of the line proceeded to yell and scream and tell me she didn't need this and blah blah blah and hung up on me. I was like, WHAT. So I called them back. They said I had a debt of $2800 from 2005 that was now due because of Obama and bank regulations etc, and that if I didn't pay they'd take me to court. I said, really? You're going to send your lawyer to my little town to collect $2000? That's when the 'supervisor' started screaming and acting a complete fool.
