Woman calling herself lauren stated she providing information about
mortgage loan information that I had requested. She provided a call
back number 888-919-2196, to provide me with updated information.

I have never requested any such information from these people.

Further the Phone company should investigate when toll free numbers
are used for scamming.

Both numbers will be provide to DoNotCall.Gov

I have had many many calls from the above phone number . I did not solicite information from this company.

You spoke to our office and requested us to call you back at the new program with this program is available to home owners who are behind on their mortgage or struggling even if you're previously to 9:00AM program. Or if you're behind on your mortgage or if you want your home than what it's worth. We can help you. Please call 888-919-2196. Again the number to reach us at 888-919-2196. Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you"

another scam

My Dad got this same crap from "Lauren" yesterday, just as described by "Sandkicker" and "G". The call audio was very fuzzy with weak high end, obviously a recording. The Caller ID tag was an evasive "unknown caller", but the return number given was this 2196.

If the chirpy queen is responding to my Dad as if they've had a chummy conversation in the past, why doesn't she address him by name, hmmmm? This is bull$&!t on several counts, primarily because my Dad built his house almost singlehandedly over forty years ago, and never had a mortgage.

They leave the same message for me  ... annoying  ...but I know where the  "delete" button is.
