- poustinikSome company called something like Radia asking about old medical bills. Either a collection agency or someone phishing.
- Caller: Radia
- CocoThis is a medical billing collection department usually dealing with radiology, MRI, CT's.
This type of billing is typically separate from the issuing hospital/doctor.- Caller: (888) 927-8023

- HeidiThey left me a message wanting me to agree to receive a text link to pay my bill online instead of having to mail it to me. The company is Radia. They provide xray services, ultrasounds etc. I did recently have an ultrasound at the hospital, so I'm sure that's what it was about.

- BusyGrandma| 1 replyThe number belongs to Radia Inc.. It is the billing arm of a company that reads x-rays. They provided a service in February 2012 but did not bill insurance until December 2012 and then incorrectly. Their bill showed that insurance had declined payment and demanded we pay immediately. I called the insurance carrier who told me there were a number of incorrect billings and that some people were intimidated enough to have paid them instead of checking whether Radia had problems billing their insurance. I called Radia, gave them the complete information (after a very long time on hold and a difficult phone tree). They told me to ignore the bill, that they would re-bill insurance.

- junne| 1 replyI just got a call from this number and it said, RADA. Extremely hard to understand why I was called and had to listen the digitally voiced message three times to get all the information. It said that the insurance company denied the payment and I am responsible for the bill. If at least I know which bill it is talking about, it could have made some sense. It said to check the website to see my balance at www.ezmedinfo.com/rada or call.
If this is real, it is the worst kind of service anyone can expect because it does not make much sense. I thought this might be a scam to get my personal information.- Caller: RADA
- PainIsBetterTheMedicine replies to junneYou must remember that ALL medicine is a scam! You NEVER know what anything is going to cost, ever. Would you buy a car if you had no idea how much it's going to cost. No other industry gets away with this. The real reason we have a "health care problem" is because the entire medical industry is a scam!! Thye can charge one person $200 and the next person $20000 for the exact same service. Why, because they do not have to tell you crap until after they bill you. Hospitals are nothing but thieves.
- AngryinMontanaI have absolutely no idea what these voice messages are all about and I do not intend to give out any information, much less my credit card number. The voice has a very threatening tone and says something about collection agencies but the message starts off in the middle and then won't repeat from the beginning. I have had numerous medical tests in recent months so it's possible I owe something to someone, but no paper bills from any RADIA. If someone with this company will tell me what these messages are about, the medical facility at which I allegedly had a procedure done for example, I will pay it. I cannot believe a legitimate business, a hospital or lab for example, would use such an unprofessional and threatening service to collect debts. I hope no one would give private information to this scammer. This Radia outfit will get nothing from me.

- Suspicious in WAI am suspicious that I am being scammed by "RADA." Had some tests done recently, but it is barely 30 days and I am being dunned. Called to get an itemized explanation of what is owe during their stated hours of operation and recording told me to call back "during normal hours." Their service is horrible. When I can get an explanation I will be happy to pay any thing I owe, but not until.

- Suspicious in SeattleI just got an automatic robot voice message from this number saying that my insurance denied coverage of my bill and the amount owed is my responsibility. I have had a number of tests done for a recent serious diagnosis and have yet to receive ANY bills to date. I have Medicare Part A and B, plus a good supplemental insurance that should take care of most all of the high costs of getting well in this country. I will not pay on a bill I haven't seen, or give any personal information to a company I'm suspicious of. I'm going to check with all of my medical providers about their billing services, and if I continue to be harassed by this entity, I will report it as a scam. This is something I should not have to deal with when I am in the middle of a medical crisis.

- Seattle| 1 replyI got this message, twice now, and totally thought it was a scam, but I looked through my paper bills and sure enough one was from Radia Inc, website ezmedinfo.com/rada It was for an ultrasound I did through Swedish in Ballard, Seattle. I have an unrelated insurance complication that was delaying their payouts, so actually I'm pretty sure this is all legit.

- What The?Radia is a company who's employees read / analyze radiological scans (X-rays, MRI's, etc.) for hospitals and doctors. These calls are coming from their billing office. They can be extremely difficult to make contact with. They have a reputation of calling, and wanting you to pay a bill, claiming your medical insurance denied the claim, and that you owe them directly. But most people report that they not only don't know who Radia is, but that they have never actually "seen" a bill from them, and yet Radia uses intimidating voices, and terminology, threatening collections if you do not pay immediately. It is also common practice for them to simply refer your bill straight to a collection agency, rather than send you a bill. I looked them up on the BBB website, and found that over the past year, there were 14 complaints filed... 12 of which were complaints about Radia's billing methods. When I contacted my medical insurance company, asking why they did not cover the scans I had, they told me that they had never been billed by Radia. So, when did some research on the interweb, I found tons of people complaining about the very same issues. One trick I learned about their (888) 927-8023 phone number: To get through to a live person; when the robot prompts you for your birth date, enter an incorrect birth date, and do this twice.

- Seattle RADA PatientThis is a Radiology billing services for various hospitals in the Puget Sound. Their billing practices are completely UNACCEPTABLE !!! They do not mail a bill, instead they call you to "thank you" for going green and we will text a link for you to see. They never mention in the phone call that this is a bill for services rendered. I received a call exactly 2 weeks from my x-ray appointment at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. I had not received an EOB from my insurance explaining benefits. My insurance company had not received a bill from Rada. So…. to get a real person on the line, use a fake date of birth and enter it twice then you will get into a long question and answer, don’t enter anything and keep holding, you eventually get to a real person. That's where I found out who /what and where about this company. I had to formally ask for a bill to be mailed. She wouldn't confirm my address and she said there are too many of them listed. Huh? She then confirmed my address and let’s see if I get a bill. This is a legitimate company but with TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE billing.

- Diana HHad CT at Swedish First Hill. I have Medicare A&B, plus UHC supplement. Should be no bill to me at all.
I have not received a Medicare EOB on this visit denying payment. I don't think the services were ever
billed. I will take this up with the referring physician's office. When I went on their website, when I go to
where they wanted me to enter my birth date, I figured this is a scam. If you have medicare, then they have
your SSN, give them your birthdate, too and they have the keys to the castle. I am sick. I need care not
some scam company that does not do their work correctly and then harasses the patient when they are
still ill and in need of care. I have done medical billing since 1989 and I know how to properly bill insurance
companies and get paid promptly (just bill correctly, so simple). If medicare did not okay these charges,
then I am not responsible. If they continue to harass me, I will file a claim with the hospital, BB Bureau and
medicare. This makes me so angry. This is what is sinking our medical system.- Caller: Rada
