are a debt collection company probably for defaulted pay day loans STP

Debt collection "lawyer" who says you will be charged with check fraud and such unless you pay them immediately.  Can't seem to provide you with any documentation on the debt other than an amount they would be willing to take to make the "lawsuit" go away.  They refuse to send you any documentation what so ever - they just want their payment.  

This company called my job and asked for various information. my job did not supply the information but instead advised them that they can not provide information requested. They do not provide information as to the nature of the call but they are starting to call more than usuall...........

Stating that I have an unpaid loan. Which is not true.

Called numerous times saying I took out a payday loan.  Could not give me the phone number of the company i took the loan out with.  But I could pay today an clear this matter up.  Do they think I am stupid?    Scary part is they have my info.  Just need the correct bank account number.
