Charter calling AGAIN,,..  persistent pain in [***] those folks...

Just got a call from them as well. Their tactics are shady too. They call from multiple numbers and have even resorted to calling so the number does not show on caller ID - pretty sure this is against FCC rules.

They just won't stop. They were at it two months ago with a different number and I thought it stopped. This is ridiculous!

Been calling for months. How do we make them stop?????

These people have forced me to finally add my number to donotcall.gov list. Even then 2 months after the fact I still get calls daily. I just got a call from this new number and I requested no more call. However I'm told it could take up to 20 days to stop getting them. When asked how i'm still getting calls despite being on the do not call list already, no answer was given.

I have android app that denys the calls, but even still it's annoying getting them.

They are not bound to abide by the rules of the do not call list because you have an account with them.

They've called me over 100 times over the last 6 months from 4 different numbers, never once answered, not sure how it can be worth their time to call the same person hundreds of times.

They cannot call you if you have specifically opted out of their call list. Once a year or so you'll get a copy of their privacy policy in the mail. Read it carefully and simply opt out. Then they can't call you legally.

I am not sure why they want call me from this number, and no answer at all.

They called me again today of course, even though the guy assured me I was on the no call list and won't be bothered again.

It's Charter.  They won't leave me the hell alone.

If the reason they are allowed to call me is because I have a "business relationship" with the, then isn't it obvious that I am going to be forced to end my business relationship with them -- and therefore cost them money -- if they keep harassing me?  

I saw that they can continue to harass you for 18 months after you last do business with them.  I guess that is supposed to protect the "businesses" by making it not worth it for customers to end their "business relationship" since they will keep getting harassed anyway.

Still, my contract with them ran out a while ago, so there will be no early termination fee for me or anything like that.  Perhaps the mild inconvenience of having to deal with getting a different internet connection set up and possibly have to deal with installation at the worst.

I have already asked to be on Charter's internal do not call list.  Apparently this just makes them more determined to harass you as much as possible for the 20 days after your request before it becomes illegal.

I have also already signed up for the federal & state do not call lists.  Apparently that does not matter because of the abovementioned business relationship (which I will no longer continue to have with Charter, nor will I pursue in the future).  

Next, I will be reporting these illegal robocalls, with exact phone number and date and time information, on the FCC/FTC website.  They have acted on similar problems in the past by taking the illegal telemarketers to court and charging them huge fines and making them stop... hopefully we can make the same thing happen to Charter (or at least make the threat of the same thing happening make them STOP!) if we all report all of the calls we are getting from them.  It might take a little time but seems worth it.

Hello, The do not call list does not work for anything except land line phones. All Cell Phones are not covered.

They call me every day and don't leave a message!  Very annoying!  I need to be able to block people like this!

Thank you for the information. I figured it was them but wasn't sure. I received a call that showed as "unknown" and I answered it thinking it might be my parents and it was them.  I told them I will call them if I want their services and hung up.

So annoying...
