Claims to be Beneficial Bank.  Claims problem with account.  I do not have account there.

I got a text message from this number.  I do not do ANY business with beneficial bank as the message states there is a problem with my account.  Beware of a scammer!

Received a text message from "Beneficial Bank" saying that my account has been locked. Text told me to call this number to reactivate. Called the number, just tried asking for my card #. I have no business with Beneficial Bank or anything related to them... Most likely a phishing scam.

Got a text message from these people.  I don't do business with Beneficial Bank.  Therefore, I deleted the message.  I was curious what the sender hoped to gain.

I received a text message from 609-330-12 (last two numbers missing).  Message told me to call 888-980-9349 due to account being limited due to fraud --- The Beneficial Bank.  I also do not have an account with Beneficial.  Has anyone called Beneficial to report this?  My husband received the same text last week on his cell phone.

Received a text message yesterday from this number allegedly from Beneficial about a problem.  I have no account there.

Same text messages as others here described, with instructions to call Beneficial Bank at 888-980-9349, two on my cell phone and one on my teen-aged daughter's.   We don't have any accounts with Beneficial Bank.  

Message changes.  I have received 2 texts from this Phisher!!  Claims my account have been locked because of fraud, second one says that there is a problem with the account!  i don't have an account with Beneficial!!  Did a long time ago so I figure a scammer got an old credit card list from somewhere.  Don't bother calling the number.  Too many scams out there that could cost you cash!  Plus any reputable company would snail mail you a letter.  BEWARE!!!

I also got a text about "Accnt Issue" with Beneficial. I don't do business with Beneficial. I wonder if just calling the 888-980-9349 number will cram a charge on my Verizon Wireless account...
