call from some law office saying I'm involved in a legal matter..sounds like sales or creditor call.

asked for my husband by name and when he would be at home.  I would not give him any details and asked twice firmly about leaving a message.  He the left his name, number and extension.  I decided to look up on internet and so glad I did.  We will not call them back.  Be aware he sounded business like and could easily pull info from any person by asking the right questions.

Columbus Ohio Operation may be in trouble.  Is David Goldberg's masterpiece  crumbling?  CSGA buys the debts and collects on them out of the Ohio office in about a dozen States.  Attorney Rory Callahan (litigation experience: NONE!) does little more than sign lawsuits all day. That's easy work for 72K a year! Of course, if you become a liability because of suit mistakes, that's not likely to help when bonus time comes around.  Attorneys are expected to crank out in the neighborhood of 500 suits a month per.  Some 30 collectors in the Ohio office call the 12 States prior to lawsuits, and feel the iron hand of David Runfola as head collector.  David learned his people skills at NCO in Buffalo.  

Among Runfola's modus operandi we see such favorites as calling the consumer's employer to verify wages/employment, etc., long before suit is filed.  Collectors start with about 500 accounts each, based on a 3% gross return commission. Columbus brings in nearly 700 thousand each month, but the numbers are hard to trace since Goldberg runs everything through his name to keep the facts away from Bronson and friends.

A call from mr murphy at th alw firm of bronson and Migliaccio looking for to speak my ex-wife. We divorced 19 years ago, so I called to let them know. All I got was their answering service so I left a message with Mr murphys voice mail.

Have had to deal with these people on occasion. Initial contact was from an individual (outsourced) who is a DJ that worked at a club near their office who threatened that the Sheriffs department would arrest me. Written contact got no response when requesting validation under the FDCPA.  Just recently discovered they filed a lawsuit using an old address and of course no paperwork attached, or for that matter received from the court. No service. No papers. No Jurisdiction. Still don't even know what the heck they were trying to collect. I haven't used credit or loans in years.
