This particular number has only called me once so far, but I get calls daily from numbers all over the country. Does anyone know about this number?

I just got a hang up call from this number, too.  They hung up as soon as the answering machine picked up.  No clue.

Just received a call.  They said they were calling in regard to this being Breast Cancer month and wanted to verify my address and asked for a donation of $25.00 toward Breast Cancer research and said I would get a letter in mail in few days for me to send the donation.  Before I thought, I gave my address and told them I would donate.  After I hung up, I thought that it might not be legitimate. I called the number back and got a recording that they were unavailable and to leave a message and then a recording saying their mail box was full and could not accept any more messages.  How do I handle this?

Same info as Dee, to a point.  Caller stated, "We would, of course, send you an envelope in the mail, so can the ladies in need depend on your support?" me, "No, I can't at this time; I have no income."  Caller, "O wow." & hung up while I was still talking.  Going to find out if this is legit......highly doubt.

Continue to receive unwanted calls from these people and we have told them numerous times to remove our number from their call list.  Today the lady that called from this number was very rude.  She told my wife that someone had made a $50 pledge in her name and that we needed to honor that pledge and give them $50.

I hung up on them.

Received call at about 11:15 CST. Caller stated something about Solicitor etc...then Kid's Wish etc...i responded with bad time to call and remove my number from their list, reply was "I can certainly do that". End of call.

Hang up call from them.  According to Local News, this area is currently being PLAGUED by "charitable solicitors" who are NOT legit, even actually mentioning Breast Cancer. Seems to me, an entity that large would show up on Caller ID if it WAS legit, or, if they were truly trying to glean funds for that most worthy cause (&, for instance, using callers /w their own #'s?), would've left a message??  Good for them that they just hung up...I like Jack Oph's post & his Phun with Phonics!!!! Same thing happening here in Memphis, TN. After reading everyone's post I decided to *60 (code block through Comcast) the number today. The "charity" must not be important enough for them to leave a message. They hang up every time the answering machine picks up.

Calling for Kids Wish Network. Did not get beyond that. I hung up on them.

I let my machine catch it , but they left no message . If it is for breast cancer , I donate locally & in person .
