Ordinarily I don't answer any calls I don't reconize, but I was waiting on an urgent call that could be from any number so I picked up.

"Congratulations...."

I hung up.

Keeps calling . No voicemail left . I don't answer

Wow, they're out in force today. So far this morning's been this number, the one pushing pain cream that wants to bill my insurance company, the local for-profit thrift store wanting me to give them things to sell, and on my cell, the one with the spoofed Kansas number wanting to excuse the student loans I don't have. I feel so loved.

Just got a call and it was to take survey and get two free cruise tickets, yeah oook!

received call and no response to my hello's. Called it back and get some Verizon national payment line. I don't have Verizon.

I was expecting a call so I called 901-395-3792 back and they answered that they were Verizon Payment Center. After giving part of my SS number I was connected with Verizon who said they did not call. I called Verizon twice, did not receive any satisfaction so I went to the Verizon Store. I was told that scammers do this and connect you to the company (Verizon) after getting info from you. They told me this is a PAID Phone Card number. Who can you trust????

Have family in Memphis. Started to answer. Decided not to. Did not leave a message.

You are soooo right!!!   That is my rule too!   I always quickly check my voice mail afterwards though.  Just to make sure it's not something important. If it's important, there will be a VM message.
